Re: HFL Division 2 (Country)

So do we have an outright favourite for the flag now? Awesome game of footy to watch, Nairne managed to win even after Hancock being red carded early in the second quarter and another being yellow carded not long before that. So were two men down for most of the second quarter. And 1 player down for the rest of the game(and Hancock at that). Still ran over the top of the brookers. Looked too classy, moved the ball too well, too fit and they were brilliant on the inside feeding it out to their runners. That number 2 with the headband absolutely dominated! Well played!

Did anyone see the birdwood Bridgewater game?

Yeah i reckon we do have an outright favourite. Bridgewater!

Re: HFL Division 2 (Country)

Wade Hancock suspension downgraded to 4 games by SANFL appeal board. They labelled the entire process a disgrace and nearly threw the whole case out. Hills did not follow process. Kangaroo court!

Stay classy HFL, the umpires and commissioners

The Hills tribunal is a Kangaroo Court they say
SANFL appeal board never called for any umpires evidence. WTF
How can they downgrade without hearing both versions of the event. I bet Wade would have told the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)

In fairness Rams have solid Juniors and are certainly in a geographical gold mine. They have a very professional plan for their furore and from what I hear they are very well run.
It honestly made no sense for them to stay in Div 2 and I'd be very surprised if they finish bottom in any grade. I congratulate them on their decision, recognising a few hard years potentially for a much brighter future

I think the eye brows were raised that they came up after the year they had in Div 2. They certainly didn’t set the world alight in the A grade and they didn’t field a Senior colts either. I just question the timing. The biggest two changes from Div 2 and 1 is depth in teams and the speed of the game. Whether Nairne can adapt to this quickly will directly influence how competitive they can be.

You’re right though, it’s a better for the club long term in the div 1 then it is to remain in 2. I still don’t think we are far away from the HFL moving to a sole division. Div 2 is a mess. I think a 12 team comp would be an ideal scenario.
