Re: SANFL 2023 season

westies 3 country games this year one in Lincoln one in berri and one in murray bridge
thats 3 games i wont be going to
How many of them are "home" games? Just the Berri one, at a guess?
Murray bridge is now ours so will be a Westies home Game

Sadly Westies will most likely get larger crowds at the country games than the suburban games.

Re: 2023 Adelaide Footy League - Division 2

He’s just a great asset for football.

He derives joy from teaching and seeing enjoyment.

He should be an AFL Commissioner in that I don’t know anyone who knows as much about the game as he does and I certainly don’t know anyone who loves it as much but couldn’t give a shit about his own place in it but wants to grow that love in others.

Footy overall would be better if he ran it

Re: AFL Round 12

A couple of points -

> Our midfield is progressing at a much quicker speed that any of us anticipated
> Brett Ratten is an outstanding coach , if Clarko is missing or doesn't return I would love for Ratten to keep the reigns.

Carlton and St. Kilda would disagree

And they’d be great judges of a coach.

Re: AFL 2024

Ideal leadership group:

1 captain
1 vice captain
All other experienced (e.g. 150+ game) players are expected to demonstrate leadership qualities on and off field

The idea of formally designating a "leadership group" is corporate wank IMO.

Re: SANFL 2025

Steven Trigg, the man who couldn't grasp the definition of 'unanimous', has been elected unopposed to the SA Football Commission.

https://sanfl.com.au/league/news/steven-trigg-joins-sa-football-commission/
The irony and shame that one of the biggest contributors to the demise of the SANFL, is now on the commission. On radio today he says the competition is better with the two reserves AFL clubs in it. As if he's going to say otherwise, after being integral in getting them in. Then he says he'd like to look into what issues the AFL teams have playing in the SANFL, not what issues the SANFL clubs have! Still hasn't tweaked he's "working" for the SANFL. Bad joke.
