Re: Things that give you the sh1ts

We have a world of bugs. You can spray for spiders 100% of your property today. But they float down from trees and they will be there tomorrow. Over time they build up a resistance to poisons, as we build up a resistance to anti-biotics. Bugs are here to stay. I work in a nursing home and one of my jobs is to keep spider webs away. Hahaha it's like painting the harbour bridge, it never ends. And then there are bird lovers that say, You cant spray there.... Then my boss says, how come there are spider webs here... We all have to live to
gether.. Ants of any denomination, will return. More ants than humans on earth... From the moment you spray, you kill the good bugs like prey mantis..
Do you wear a mask when you use these poisons & sprays?

Re: EPL Season 2015/2016

Lol, read today:
Wenger & Koeman in tunnel exchange.
After Arsenal were held to a scoreless draw at home by Southampton things got a bit heated in the tunnel post match.
Wenger shouted towards referee Lee Mason, after trying to confront him, "It's always the same with you".
Saints' boss Koeman heard this & said the exact same thing back to Wenger before adding "You had ten chances to score and didn't take any of them. Instead you take it out on the officials".
Jose Mourinho was right, the premier league has never seen a bigger whinger.

Re: Horse Racing Tips & Discussion

Hiya Lads,

I'm back - did you expect anything less considering the 1st Group 1 of the New Year?
Am currently in Moloolaba QLD for the National Open Water Swimming Championships - the 16 yr old is swimming in the Men's Open 10km Event, the winner goes to Rio 2016 ( he won't win 8) ), but I'm not on here to talk swimming!

One of my 'old favs' is running tomorrow - Entirely Platnium.
He has a good record over 1400m & track, & his best runs are 1st & 2nd up.
Dunn is leading the Jockey Premiership in Melbourne & Gate 9 allows him to 'roll forward' - I can see him sitting outside Rebel Dane in the lead.
Currently $26 & $6.50, probably get a better price in the 'hour of power' - he's well worth an E/Way ticket tomorrow in The Orr Stakes.
Trifecta: Box 3,4,9,10,12,13

In Race 3, the Fillies Prelude, the fav should win (all things considered) but, I'm going to back one @ odds - the Snowden Runner; Quick Feet, No. 8.
The Sydney 2 yr old form is often superior this time of year.
She's drifted in the market (which is often a bad sign) but that might be because more money has come for the fav (no. 3) = Blake Shinn is in the top 3 Sydney riders IMHO, a good gate & a fast jump could mean she's right in the race with 100m to go.
The Snowden's are going well this season, after a year to establish themselves away from Darley/Godolphin.
She might be a 'smokey' for the 'Diamond' in 2 weeks & these current odds tomorrow are very inviting.

In The Apollo in Sydney we see the return of Winx - she would have to be too good for these, wouldn't she?

Enjoy the start of the Autumn Lads, 12 odd weeks of great racing to come :D
Welcome back mate.

Re: Essendon 2014

not to change subject on guernsey, but i reckon it might be wise of essendon to leave their last 2 player vacancies empty in case the players get off before seasons end, then watson & heppell could immediately comeback? or would you choose Hurley instead? :)

just the same way ryder & monfries could jump straight back in for finals
The WADA boss said overnight that the appeal would be a long process and not heard this year so players won't be back. There was talk of Watson and Stanton retiring at end of year and they were going to try for a injunction and play this year but I think they have wisely decided against it
I thought Stanton retired at the end of 2009.....

Re: Garry Lyon - serious mental health condition.

I posed on the first page of this topic the possibility that Lyon was hiding behind mental illness.
I spoke to a couple of mates today, one suffers from clinical depression, the other experiences acute episodes of psychosis (and spent time in James Nash House). They both said pretty much the same thing - that they hope Lyon's not hiding behind mental illness & then, that he gets whatever help he needs. They completely understood that people would question Lyon's sincerity, given how it is used as an excuse by so many in society who get themselves into trouble to garner leniency and/or sympathy. The fact he's a leading media figure, as posted previously, doesn't evoke as much empathy from many as it may well for others.

Re: 2016 NAB..

Just LOL at Carlton, 10 goals down against a rag tag bunch of ring ins

Yea hugely strange to see 18,000 people at princess park a major occassion for club members and theres our top 10 players in the sidelines spectating. Could the players hav been rested for a lesser occassion

The bombers have got a lot to prove there attitudes would be nearing them to be playing the best they could possibly play i think they will look super hot in the first few rounds, but fizzle out very quickly

Obviously carltons new recruits are all rookie teenagers and essendons new recruits are all hardened afl troopers of many years. Although about 6 of essendon top up players didnt play either

18,000 people at a trial game. Guess they figured if they wanted to see a win this year....
Suburban footy - people love it still. Plus Princes Park is a fantastic ground to watch the footy at.
In hindsight, the AFL may have been better off upgrading Princes Pk to a boutique 25-30k capacity oval which could cater lower supporter base Melbourne clubs such as Western Bulldogs, Melbourne & North for when they play Freo, Port, GWS etc - instead of playing at Etihad/MCG where it looks like a crowd of 300 is there.
