Re: AFL Finals Week 1

Well done Port, thought the old boys in Harlett and Ebert stood up when the game was there to be won, Motlop deep forward was a good move, but McKenzie on Hawkins? Lucky he didn't kick straight. Who was Clurey on? Ladhams excellent also.

Re: AFL Finals Week 3 - Preliminary Finals

I actually don't mind who wins tonight, or even tomorrow night, but would probably favor Brisbane as the team Id like to see win the flag. Either way there is a good story in all 4 teams left.

Good luck Boon and the other wharfies tonight.

Re: I need to know....

Is $750 a good price for a tow bar to supplied & fitted on a 2017 Santa Fe? (They come to my place)
I’ve also rung Allin’s but they were more heavy duty & more expensive. I won’t be towing any boats/caravans, only cage trailers for bikes/scooters etc...

I got one added about 5 years ago, thats was for a caravan though, was about that price IIRC

Re: 2020 Retirements and delistings / trade talk

AFL Players drove FA not the AFL.

Smart year for Geelong to do after FA's and top up, with Ablett and probably 2-3 others retiring it frees up cap space and they have 3 picks in the Top 20 of the draft. They could set themselves up real well this off season.

Yep Battery and on the Tesla VPP. For some reason they do monthly bills. Some rough figures I've scribbled down indicate we have paid back 8% of our investment already.

Once I get some time I'm going to do a full analysis.

Re: 2020 Melb Cup Day Punters Club

So looks we will easily cover a 10 race card, say if we end up with 15 members do we allocate an extra $50 bet for the 5 races with the biggest fields on the day, so we have 2 bets in the races that have the biggest fields? hope that make sense.

Do we want to do fixed odds or run with the tote?

Happy to go with either divvy.

If we got 10 punters x $50 races in races 1-10 = $500

Cup Tri 15 x $10 = $150

We've got $70 left over, do we get the 5 who don't get a single race pick one each in the quaddie legs? 5x5x5x5 = $625 = about 11%

Or do we load up the Cup tri for a bigger %? We might have up to 15 runners....

Another option to float I guess for the exotics could be to use the Cup Trify numbers in a F4 also? I'm happy either way, so whatever is decided by the group is schmick by me :-BD

Im pretty easy, although do like the idea of a quaddie also, potentially keeps us interested right to the last race for a nice return.

Probably need to wait and see how many more we get and decide from there?

I think we just stick to Flemington, races are pretty ordinary elsewhere on cup day anyway.

Staying on course at Lady Bay this weekend with the lads. Playing New Terry (Wirrina) on Friday & Lady Bay Saturday.
Booked in to the Forktree Brewery at Carrickalinga for dinner & refreshments.

Be interested in how Wirrina is these days, drove in there a couple of weeks back but you cant see much of the course from the roads around there.

To clarify $150 extra on each would still leave each member around $100 pay out even if we have duck eggs for the rest of the day.

Re: 2020 Retirements and delistings / trade talk

Geelong give pick 30 to North for Higgins. I know Higgins is getting on but clubs are really kicking North whilst they are down

we could have kept him, he is contracted for 2021, but at 32 he aint going to be part of our next successful period, has been awesome for us and I wish him well at the Cats.

We will get inside 30 for BBB so that will be 5 in the top 30 come draft day, we have never had even close to a hand like that

Re: Daily Golf - Where you are playing and how you go

Went and played front 9 of Mt Compass on Saturday, only my 4th game of the year  course is in great shape, some very long rough that ball is basically lost if you go in there but they have left the fairways and 1st cut of rough very wide so you have to be way off course to get into the long stuff.

Missed a 3 footer for birdie on the 1st, put my approach in the water on the 3rd but was bloody happy stading on the 8th tee at 3 over, of course thats when things caught up with me and had an 8. Finished with a 44 and wishing we played 18.

Will definitely head back soon though, and with kids sports cancelled hopefully one of the next 2 weekends.
