Re: HFL Central Division

Country footy problems solved!!! After much discussion over a few beers we have a solution.....All Clubs must play 60% or 14 of their 21 A Grade players who have played Juniors for their club!! This is easy to officiate for the Hills League and still allows up to 7 A Grade imports for clubs like Uraidla, TV and Mt Barker who feel like they need it because they cant play their locals and still win. When you look at it, it means you only need 2-3 senior colts to come up every year to the Senior squad to sustain a Club. Also once "imports" play at a club for 5 years or 100 games or so they qualify as locals.

This will also encourage players in League or Reserves footy to stay longer which will take the pressure off the SANFL or if they leave, to go back to their Junior club.

Once again easy to police for the League and makes all clubs invest in their junior grades to develop A Grade players.

Welcome the excuses!!!

Re: HFL Central Division

Yes - it does everyone's head in as HFL is not SAAFL and has nowhere near the number of sides participating.

Too many problems with it IMO.

Get rid of it - see who wants to play in what division - then set it in place for 3 years.

Once the senior footy is organised and settled - then base the juniors around it.

In that case Legs man it should be 3 divisions not 2

Re: HFL Central Division

Come on you guys agree with has been this relegation crap is really boring. He is right there will be 11 teams in central next year so lets stop all this tripe and talk finals footy. Can Echunga beat Lobey now the fine weather is back. Uris surely are 6-7 goals better. than both of those teams. They are so good and well coached

No way will there be an 11 team Central Division next season. That will only further damage the Country Division.

Learn from the SFL. You guys are in a similar situation as we were in the late 90s. DO NOT let Division 2 fail, the focus needs to be on making the second division stronger. We allowed the second division to dwindle away, but that was fine because the Division 1 clubs were ok - it ended up becoming our problem.

This is what we need to all be listening to!! Not a short term quick fix plan for the betterment of one division at the loss of the other.

Re: HFL Central Division

So I have just heard that TV has gone behind the HFL and straight to the CFL to ask for extra points and have been granted 2 extra points when Tom Wachtel plays!! If true this is rubbish! Any chance you can take on the CFL Legs Man??

Re: HFL Division 2 (Country)

Yes and yes

Does anyone know if the Nairne player has actually been reported for slapping the card out of the umpires hand?

Have heard for abuse and the card slapping. He'll get a long holiday that for sure and not sure his record is that great either. Might not be just finished at Nairne......he can possibly concentrate on his Kyani sales now.

He abused the Umps after a big mark to Stuey Bown near the end of the game and was asked to calm down....he then reiterated his comments further and was shown a Red card right on the final siren. As stated the card was then slapped out of the Umps hand
