Is it really worth all the effort ?
looking at the fields one would suggest NOT

2 fields of 7
2 fields of 6

Re: TDK's International Test Cricket Update's

Nup, wide ball in test cricket.
How so? Is Test cricket played under a different set of Laws? 21.10 seems black and white to me.

100% AGREE

I've been banging on about this for years and i just can't get an answer from anyone why ?

Seriously, it's an utter F******G Joke

Either re write the Law or umpire by the Laws, it's Not F*****G Hard !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Adelaide Hills Cricket (HCA, TVCA & A&EH)

Woodside have missed the Finals in A Grade for the 1st time since entering the A&EHCA in the season of 2011/12 finishing in 5th spot this season.

Lobethal after finishing 5th last season after winning 8 of their last 9 matches have taken Woodsides spot with Strath , Hahndorf and L Creek the other 3 teams maintaining their spot in the Finals.

1st Semi Final
Lobethal (3rd) v L Creek (4th) at Lobethal
Since losing their first 3 matches of the season, Lobethal have been undefeated and hit the Finals as the FORM team of the comp and will face off against the other Tigers of the Comp, reigning Premiers L Creek. Creeks will be hoping to emulate last years incredible Premiership coming from 4th spot and winning 3 away Finals in a row. Last year they hit the Finals on a roll of 5 successive wins and had momentum unlike this season where they have played little cricket in the last 2 months with wash outs and Byes and have been inconsistent when they have played.
It looks like it could be a cold damp day at Lobethal on Saturday and whichever sides batsmen can hold their nerve on the traditionally very slow outfield there could go a long way to deciding who progresses to Sundays Prelim Final

2nd Semi Final
Strathalbyn (1st) v Hahndorf (2nd) at Strathalbyn
Strath have been the most consistent team all year and deserve their top spot whilst Hahndorf have done well to finish 2nd and hold off the fast finishing Lobethal by beating leading contenders L Creek and Strath the last 2 weeks and earn the Double Chance.
The pressure is on BOTH teams to win the flag this year as Strath havent tasted success since 1997/98 whilst Hahndorfs last flag was 2001/02 after losing the unlosable GF last year.
Both teams may well face off in the GF in the following week but im tipping Strath to be the 1st one there and will be great to see an A Grade Grand Final played on Turf

A2 Grade
Macclesfield have finished top again and will be looking to avenge last years GF loss and maybe springboard their way back into the A Grade Comp which would make it a desirable 10 team comp again.

B Grade
L Creek have proven to be the best team for the year to finish top and its theirs to lose but have to deal with the Brad Horsell one man show for Mt Barker in the Semi Final 1st. Horsell has made an incredible 1053 runs for the season so far with 5 tons  and 4 half centuries with 2 180+ scores. If Creeks get him for 4 as they did the only time they played this year they'll surely win.

C Grade
Strathalbyn finished top clearly and would be a massive shock if they don't win it. Their batting line up would towel up most A2 bowling attacks

Re: Adelaide Hills Cricket (HCA, TVCA & A&EH)

Langhorne Creek are on track to repeat last seasons remarkable feat of winning the flag from 4th spot as they have again advanced to the Grand Final to again play Hahndorf at Hahndorf.
Strath who had only lost 1 game for the season up until the last minor round game have been bounced out of the premiership race by losing their last 3 matches on the bounce. :Hangman:
Hahndorf secured 2 spot by defeating Strath by 1 wicket in the last minor round game and then repeated that win by defeating them on Saturday easily.
Strath then fronted up Sunday with the double chance hosting L Creek who brought Lobethals 11 match winning streak to an end at Lobethal on Saturday as O'dea and Warren made the Northern Tigers pay for inviting the Creeks to bat 1st :o

Creeks held Strath to 9/131 from their 45 overs and appeared in control in the run chase at 1/46 until a steady fall of wickets saw them collapse to 7/86 effectively 8 for as keeper Mudge dislocated his shoulder whilst keeping. Creeks through Ellis who held his nerve to knock off the majority of the runs needed, got over the line 8 down with less than 2 overs to spare.
Interesting to note Strath beat L Creek in the 1st round of the season by 250 runs  (7/288 to 38) tho it was a vastly undermanned Creek team that day.
Strath without a Flag since 1997/98 would be devastated after being clearly the best team all year whilst L Creek have the chance to extend Hahndorfs Premiership drought to 18 years and in turn go back to back themselves for the 1st time since 1960/61

Re: Great Southern Football League

Unless footy were able to get in 1 complete round and finals (13 Saturdays required) before the end of September, why would they bother starting at all ? If it worked out they needed only a couple of weeks in October to achieve this then maybe cricket could be understanding and delay their season a week or 2 to accommodate them but thats about it. Anyway with all the paranoia about whats going on i wouldn't be surprised if Cricket Australia recommends that cricket is side lined well into Summer anyway

Re: TDK's International Test Cricket Update's

Not saying anything that nobody doesn't already know but the West Indies are just a GUTLESS RABBLE of a team

After playing well to win the 1st Test their goal had to be to NOT lose the last 2 Tests to at least Tie the series and retain whatever the trophy they play for. But despite being massively helped with the weather in the 2nd Test, they blew that spectacularly when the Draw was $1.10 at one stage. Just simply a lack of guts and commitment to bat time which is what Test cricket is about at certain times.
Now they get blessed with losing an entire day to rain and need to bat the last day for a draw but they seem totally incapable of concentrating for any length of time. Where the hell is a Shiv Chanderpaul when needed? Shai Hopes' dismissal was a DISGRACE to throw his wicket away with that shot.

Kraig Brathwaite - Credit to him over the years for gutsing it out against the best bowlers in the world but has there ever been a more uglier Test opening batsman technique wise? His footwork is a disgrace. His Lbw would go down as the UGLIEST LBW of all time by a top order batsman.
A simple forward defense with a straight bat would have got the job done but he obviously has nfi how to do that

Little bit harsh on this windies side JJ, they have been quite good over the past few years and have been shown to be quite a patient and reliable side. Holder has done a really good job with them. They are far from the first side to crumble in England, batting over the past 5 years has been the hardest its ever been in England. Other then Smith and Kohli everyone has struggled there including stars like Warner and Pujara so I think its a tad harsh on these lessor players as I think they try but simply aren't up to it. This is also a fantastic bowling line up england have in these conditions, there is a reason they haven't loss a series at home since 2014.

Yes i may be a little harsh but if they are really serious about making their mark again in International cricket they cant just simply roll over as meekly as they've done in the last 2 tests. Last nights conditions don't come much easier on a 5th day pitch with the ball doing little yet they batted with the resignation that it was just all too hard to bat time.
Credit to them that they have improved in recent years (They had to, was impossible to go worse) but it's just frustrating to watch them surrender so softly due to a lack of heart, courage and commitment with so much to play for.

Strath the shock upset today rebounding from their 134 point thumping to down one of the Premiership favorites in Willunga who if they lose the the Creeks next week, could be struggling to make the Finals  I do predict they will lose to Creek next week but will make the Finals tho the vital top 3 double chance may be a struggle.

Re: TDK's International Test Cricket Update's

Poor batting by Pakistan in their 2nd innings left the door open for England.
Not to have made at least 200 in their 2nd dig and set Eng over 300 to win was inexcusable. Simply a case of not working hard enough for long enough.
Disappointing for the Pakis to do so much right but then lose the game. I'd expect the Poms to clean sweep the series now barring the inevitable rain interruptions that couldn't even save the apathetic Windies last month

Re: Great Southern Football League

Creeks over Willunga by 26 pts Creeks won by 30 points
Compass over Goolwa/PE by 21 points Compass won by 85 points
Yank over Bays by 19 points Yank won by 2 points
McLaren over Strath by 23 points McLaren won by 71 points
Myp/Sell over Victor by 23 points Myp/Sell won by 11 points

Tiger83 tipster of the week with 5/5 and a points differential of 106, fod 5/5 (135), jj 5/5 (145), grasshopper 3/5  ;)

Yesterdays results show whilst Strath are still a finals contender, they're not a premiership hope, being obliterated for the 2nd time in their last 3 matches.
Yank the big winners with their 2 point win over the Bays
Tho Creeks wasn't an upset over Willunga at all, it certainly was a gutsy win after losing Perrey, McGregor and Mitch Cleggett all to injuries before half time and having no bench for the rest of the game. Willunga jumped out of the blocks to kick 3 goals in the 1st 15 minutes but from then on only managed 1 more for the rest of the match mostly played in misty drizzle

Table
Creeks 10
McLaren 10
Compass 7
Yank 6
Strath 6
Bays 5
Willunga 4
Myp/Sell 2
Gool/PE 0
Victor 0

4 rounds to go with either Creeks and Mclaren to finish top whilst the other are top 3 certainties. The next 5 teams are all in a battle for spots 3 - 5
Its a lottery who they will be and will be determined on results of 50/50 games like yesterdays between Yank and E Bay. Mt Compass have the hardest run home, still having to play Creek and McLaren along with other contenders Strath and Yank. Straths % is utter shithouse due to their obliterations by Creeks and McLaren but still have to play Victor and Myp/Sell. Will need 6 wins to make it. Willunga have an easier draw but need to beat Yank this week otherwise they're in trouble. Yank and Bays still have their destiny in their own hands but as with the other contenders need to win the 50/50 games.

Re: Great Southern Football League

Well Round 9 results certainly indicated a few teams are glad it's the end of the season with 4 out of 5 matches resulting in blow out margins tho one team that received a shellacking get to front up next for finals in what will be a big challenge to regroup.

The battle for the Minor Premiership went down to the wire with McLaren slight favorites at the start of the day to overtake the Creeks on %.
McLaren had the injury depleted Goolwa/PE Magpies to rack up a % booster whilst the Creeks had the tougher task of 4th placed Mt Compass to build on their 15% advantage over McLaren and cling onto top spot. When the teamsheets were exchanged it was obvious the Creeks were a big chance against the depleted Bulldogs unit. Both McLaren and Creeks both went about racking up huge totals throughout their matches and by 3/4 time McLaren were very short priced favorites to take top spot having a % advantage of 222.5% to the Creeks 216.4% but the Creeks responded with a huge 10 goal last quarter whilst McLaren surprisingly failed to finish Glw/PE off by only adding 3 goals to see the Creeks regain top spot with both teams finishing the season with 974 points FOR whilst the Creeks crucially conceded 19 points less than McLaren.
Minor Premiers certainly dont have a great record the last decade with winning the flag with the Creeks the main reason, winning 4 of the last 9 flags from 2nd or 3rd spot but would be more than happy to launch an assault for a 3rd straight flag from Top spot given their injury concerns over the last 3 - 4 weeks and the week off could be invaluable.
The biggest result from the weekend was the Bays win over Willunga to claim the double chance and given they're the only team to have defeated McLaren this season must be rated as a genuine Premiership threat tho probably 3rd in line behind McLaren and Creeks.
Strath who have been all over the place with their results finished on a high by thrashing Myp/Sellicks who may have had their focus more on a B Grade finals campaign ?
Yankalilla surprisingly belted the improving Victor Harbor but it was too little too late to make the Finals.

A quirky stat from over the last 2 weeks was that 4th placed Mt Compass (3rd at start of Rd 8 ) conceded a total of at least 19 -13 whilst going SCORELESS themselves  They conceded 9 - 9 to nil in the last quarter against McLaren last week and then conceded 10 - 4 to L Creek Saturday before they finally hit the scoreboard in the 2nd quarter. I say at least as dont know how the 3rd quarter finished off last week?. It's hard to imagine that a 4th placed A Grade team has ever conceded more whilst going scoreless ever in any league ever ?

Re: Great Southern Football League

Some interesting selections :?

Are the selections based on performances in the minor rounds or reputation ?

Because in several cases it seems reputation may have prevailed.

Comparing a few L Creek players

Jarrod Kellock 6 games 8 goals 3 times in best players 5th 4th 4th

Lachy McGregor 4 games 14 goals just once in best players

Both make Team of the Year - Both have been Superstars over the last decade and no doubt would be in the leagues best 21 if such a team was picked but a bit hard this season going on those stats if it's this seasons performances they are going on.

Compare those 2 to another pair of Creek players that didn't make it

Coby Helyar 9 games 28 goals In best players 6 times

Caleb Howell 9 games 14 goals In best players 5 times.

Anyway on to more important matters. The Big question in football circles is whether LIMB fronts in the Magoos Premiership decider on Saturday after getting the call up last week and doing a superb job in keeping Willungas key forward goaless.
With potentially up to 6 players to come back in for the Creeks B Grade side theres gonna be some unlucky omissions from those that got the job done last week.

Re: Adelaide Hills Cricket (HCA, TVCA & A&EH)

Perfect conditions prevailed for the opening Round in A&EHCA

Strath out for redemption after last seasons Finals choke and in search of the 1st flag since 1997/98 got over last years Claytons Premier in Hahndorf comfortably and look to be one of the teams to beat again

Reports are that Lobey romped in over Wistow in by 9 wickets in a very shortened day,

Bremer Callingtion with a swag of recruits caused the 1st surprise of the season by edging out Woodside by 10 runs at Woodside. Who knows as the season goes on it might not prove to be a surprise. Any word on how handy Bremers' recruits are? Will be a good boost to the Comp if Cally who have been struggling for years return as a force to the comp to coincide with their oval and clubroom redevelopment.
Whilst for Woodside where are they at? Missing the finals last season for the 1st time since entering the A&EHCA since 2012/13 and having won only the 1 A Grade flag which they'd have felt is under achieving, are they a genuine contender this season or was last seasons end of season slump no coincidence ?

Nairne must have been jumping for joy on the release of the program to see they had drawn L Creek in Rd 1. Creeks have been winless in Rd 1 since 2004  Continually fielding very below strength teams the Creeks wern't helped this year with half their A Grade side playing footy Grand Finals only last Saturday. Winning them, being pissed for 3 days and not having a single training session saw all but Troy Blackwell decide to delay their season by 1 week. Still any team with one of the best all rounders in Country cricket in the last 2 decades in Ben Warren in your team, Creeks couldn't be discounted. With Jarrad Tait returning to the Razorbacks from Hahndorf, he got them off to a flyer with the bat to see them 2/123 at the drinks break. Warren then turned the game with 3 wickets in the 1st 4 balls after the drinks break and eventually Nairne were bowled out for a competitive 202. Creeks at 5/122 were in strife until Ben Warren then launched a viscous all out assault on the Nairne bowlers by spanking them for 10 sixes and 4 fours to race to 101* n.o. off only 64 balls to guide the Creeks to victory with 12 overs to spare

Any feedback on how balls stood up during the match with the NO Saliva or Sweat application policy?
The ball for the Creeks after 40 overs of Nairnes innings was in surprisingly good condition apart from a chunk taken out on 1 side from a customary Jarrad Tait 6 landing on some rocks on the side of the Nairne hill.

Re: Australian International Summer 2020/21

Are slow over rates really that big a blight on the game, from a spectator point of view.

If the commentators didn't mention it could you honestly tell or would it impact your experience watching whether they bowled 14 overs in the hour or 12.

To be honest I don't mind if it takes longer, means I get to keep the tv remote for longer and can scrape a few odd jobs in between without missing too much.

But seriously do you actually sit there getting frustrated because one over took 4:30 to be bowled not 4:10.

Does it really matter if the bowler oversteps by 2 cms?

Does it really matter if the batsman is 5 cms short of his ground?

Does it really matter if you're driving 10 kmh over the speed limit in the city and hit someone?

Does it really matter if your pay is 5% short one payday?

Of course it f***N matters !!!!!!!!!!!!! as does the pathetic slow over rates that the players and captains simply dont GAF about !!!!!!
Bowl 89 overs in a day instead of 90 and that 1 over is lost to the match !!!
Do that over 4 days and thats 4 overs lost to the game
There would have been results of Test matches over history that would have been different if there were an extra 4 overs available.

Agree that half the blokes that just go to the cricket to get shitfaced couldn';t GAF if any cricket was played but those that go to watch it get FO  when they're consistently see unnecessary delays taking place and players just ambling around in no rush

Re: Adelaide Hills Cricket (HCA, TVCA & A&EH)

Lobey v Nairne in AEHCA Grand Final after Nairne defeat Hahndorf in the Elimination and Creek doing a Strath and losing 2 consecutive games at home to get knocked out.

Creeks outplayed by Lobey and Nairne pure and simple.

The fact that the last 2 Minor Premiers have been eliminated in straight sets is simply a reflection of just how even the competition is in A&EHCA which is fantastic. The fact that teams of the quality of Woodside and Strath miss the finals is also a reflection of the relative strength of the comp.

If Strath had made 4 more runs in their last minor round game , they would have finished 2nd and Nairne wouldn't have made the finals . As it turns out Strath missed and Nairne are playing off for the Flag.

With talks of a Super League being formulated in the near future, i'm not real sure what the advantages are for Senior Cricket in A&EHCA unlike Junior Cricket which looks to have many positives.

Re: Great Southern Football League

Amazing drama filled finish to the Creek / Willunga clash today with the match looking all but over in the last term before the reigning Premiers stormed home with the last 5 goals of the match to hit the front by a point courtesy of a miraculous snap from the boundary by Howell which brought a rapturous response from the Hawks Premiership reunion tent.
In the middle of the 5 goal onslaught there was a 5 minute hold up in play as Willungas Fenton was stretchered from the ground with a rumored broken leg .
Willunga then responded with a behind which leveled the scores.
In a desperate last few minutes neither team were able to score as the siren sounded.
There was confusion among supporters and some players as the scoreboard showed the Creeks winners by a point.
The scoreboard was out by a point most of the last term and for the most part had little consequence until the last few minutes
Goal umpires quickly confirmed the draw as both teams contemplated what could have been.

Re: TDK's International Test Cricket Update's

Good game of cricket this one, going to be hard to switch off over the next couple of nights

Well you're gonna have to find something else to watch as the Pathetic Poms slumped to 9/122 in their 2nd dig for a lead of only 37

Should be all over in the 1st hour on day 4.

Rain saved the Poms in the 1st Test and they've been THRASHED here. They're a rabble

And didn't Nasser Hussain let rip with his thoughts on how pathetic the Poms Batsmen were. Entertaining stuff

Re: Adelaide Hills Cricket (HCA, TVCA & A&EH)

Macclesfield looking to return to A Grade for the first time in a while to make a 10 team A Grade in A&EH

5 years ago the Association made the decision to scrap 2 day cricket to go to entirely 1 day cricket with one of the main reasons to get more teams back into A Grade having had only 7 sides for a few years with no prospect of any coming up. If Maccy come up which they have indicated (Mind you they sent out the same signals last year before they reneged ) then it will become an ideal 10 team comp which allows 18 qualifying games with each playing each other home and away.
This will leave Echunga, Ashbourne and Finniss as the only clubs not to be fielding an A Grade although they will all field A2 teams as Echunga & Finniss have both indicated they will come up from B Grade and rightly so as well.

Re: Round 21

How does Greene get 2 weeks and Selwood gets off.
His 3rd fine for the year.
Protected species anyone!!

Both get 2 or both should get off.
I'm flumixed by Selwoods.
That's at least a week surely.
Yet another great example of penalising the action while taking into account the outcome.

Chose to bump
Hit him in the head.

Should be automatic suspension.

It's ridiculous for suspensions to be determined by pot luck depending on the severity of any injuries incurred.

After all these years of tweaking this and that in regards to reports and referrals, they are still no closer to any semblance of consistency

Re: Great Southern Football League

2 Rounds to go and it looks as if the Top 5 is set with last years Grand Finalists E Bay to miss out with Strath taking their place.
With Willunga beating Compass last week the Minor Premiership is still up for grabs with Creeks being in pole position with their Round 18 match against Willunga likely to decide it tho if Willunga do beat the Creeks (They Drew their Rd 9 match) it will more than likely allow Compass to retake Top spot assuming Compass get the job done this week against McLaren who they did actually lose to in Round 8.
After just getting 1 out of 9 in AFL tips this week  i probably shouldn't be predicting anything footy wise

Gonna be a cracking Finals series with nothing between the Top 3 teams. McLaren and Strath can be competitive and capable of an upset but not good enough to win 4 finals on the trot from 4th or 5th.

I dont think the 2 BYE rounds made a lot of difference to how the table will finish up tho the Creeks may have dodged a bullet against Compass as the Creeks would have been somewhat depleted that day with injuries as they were the 1st time they played them and got trounced.

Re: Great Southern Football League

Willunga take the Minor Premiership by % from Langhorne Creek as they overcame a 25 point half time deficit to win by 8 points at Willunga.
Creeks outplayed Willunga in the 1st half and their lead at half time should have been much greater than 25 points, having butchered several golden opportunities in the 2nd term. Willunga dominated the 2nd half as the Creeks battled to maintain their lead but scoring opportunities dried up as Willunga surged to a narrow lead and clung on and in doing so have no doubt assumed Premiership favoritism.
Creek will face Mt Compass in the Qualifying whilst McLaren will attempt to repeat their authoritative win over Strath today again next week in the Elimination Final.

Re: Adelaide Hills Cricket (HCA, TVCA & A&EH)

Association has leased the facility for 6 months from the Council for a fee.
The Association has set a fee structure for usage of the venue by clubs which isn't limited to A&EHCA games based on recovering the lease fee.

For people that haven't been involved in the running of a club with turf cricket facilities the fees the Association have set may appear high but in fact they are very reasonable compared to what it costs other turf clubs within the Association for the upkeep and preparation of their turf pitches.

Re: Adelaide Hills Cricket (HCA, TVCA & A&EH)

If I was a Maccy person id be a little bit peeved. They copped it for years when they didnt go up to A grade and the second they do 2 clubs come down instead of staying up. Hahndorf have lost a few from last season but wouldnt dream of going down now.

I see where you're coming from with Maccy being a bit peeved but at the end of the day they need to worry about themselves and not what others are doing. Surely the aim of every club is to have an A Grade and if Maccy wern't ready to come back in after finishing minor premiers 3 seasons in a row in A2s then when would they be?
Hard to be critical of Wistow coming down to A2s as they've finished bottom 3 for the last 8 seasons in A Grade with 4 wooden spoons and have now lost the nucleus of their A Grade
Mt Barker in their 3 years back in A Grade have finished bottom, 2nd bottom and bottom and for whatever reason havent been able to develop or attract players of the standard to be more competitive.
As much as i dont want to see clubs dropping teams down grades , there are simply situations that not all are aware of that dictate they need to drop down a grade.
I believe 3 of the bottom 4 teams from A2 Grade last season are dropping down to B Grade including Hahndorf and Lobethal that finished 5th and 6th in the 8 team comp. :?

Do you reckon there is a chance the HCA and AEHCA merge at some point JJ? The HCA has now lost flagstaff and also only has 7 teams currently wanting to play A grade. I get there are difficulties to the merger but would make a ripper comp if it merged.

There were talks of merging the Juniors together this year but they couldn't strike common ground on a few things so abandoned plans for this year at least. I believe there was also some casual conversation among the hierarchy of both Associations to combining the Seniors as well down the track so i guess there certainly is a chance of some sort. I think the A&EHCA are fairly comfortable with the way things are atm with getting close to 40 Senior teams across 13 Clubs with a strong competitive A Grade comp. To have teams the quality of Strath and Woodside not being able to make finals is a testament to the strength of the A grade not withstanding acknowledgment that the bottom few teams struggle but thats the same with any comp.
With the booming population growth of Mt Barker and the addition of the 1st class facility at the Summit (Tho it may take a year or 2 to sort out teething problems and find the best way to maximise the benefit of it) it's hard to see there wont be changes in the way cricket is structured in the Hills involving multiple Associations. Time will tell i guess?

Re: Australian Womens Cricket

They really are an amazing team

India looked like they were bullying Australia whenever i turned it over to watch parts of it and they looked like the No. 1 team in the world, NOT Aust.

But it's amazing what can be achieved with a never say die attitude which i guess a team has to have to have a 26 game unbeaten winning streak.

It was a phenomenal win from the situation they were in and how they managed to score 10 - 12 RPO in the closing stages without having the power like the men do to hit boundaries regularly on the slow dewy outfield.

Re: Adelaide Hills Cricket (HCA, TVCA & A&EH)

So Round 1 this weekend for A&EH

Should be a good game I'm going with Strath because of the Creek's poor Rnd 1 record.
.

I see you've done your homework Barkeroo.
Creeks did break their Rd 1 hoodoo last year on the back of a whirlwind ton by Warren when all looked lost and they'll be looking to him again to score big runs in a depleted batting order that should have an intimidating look about in a months time as a number of players will have a late start to the season.
Both Strath and Creek look like showcasing some good young talent in the absence of some experienced players tomorrow which will be worth the admission fee.

Woodside v Nairne 50/50

Hahndorf look significantly less imposing than in recent years and may be one of Maccy's better chances of chalking up a win in their comeback season which will be very challenging for them one would think.

Lobey should get over Bremer Cally tho im sure B/C will take a few scalps this season when least expected.

NZ batting above their average again!!

2 WC finals in a row. If we cant win it I hope they can.
Plus test championship final.

Were robbed of the World Cup
Won the Test Championship
Beaten BOTH pre tournament T20 favorites in India and England.

Tab betting $2.25 for the Final :?

Results show they're the best team in the World yet they're continually seen as underdogs in everything they play. :?

Re: Adelaide Hills Cricket (HCA, TVCA & A&EH)

Friday Nov 5th i believe Cally got their new covers.
Only the 1 set i think so their 2nd oval is still at the mercy of the elements.

With the rain interfering with matches.

Games CAN NOT be reduced in length (overs wise) once the game has started.
It can only be reduced in the case of a DELAYED start of more than 30 minutes.

The rules regarding all this are CLEAR & CONCISE and it's the responsibility of EVERY captain and in particular EVERY APPOINTED PAID umpire ($126 for A Grade) to know these rules and enact them when required.
It is beyond belief that 2 A Grade Captains and a Paid Appointed umpire all were apparently unaware   of these rules despite being able to access them on your phone in 30 seconds and proceed to make up their own rules in order to get a result.
Makes an absolute MOCKERY of the rules and credibility of the competition
