Re: HFL Central Division

Just like to take the time to thank the hard working EFC senior and junior committee, sponsers and volunteers to bring about this great decision.
Just on our B Grade it will be a lot stronger next year, with 5 very good senior colts coming up as you would have seen in the GF TWO COLTS PLAYED but alot of people have failed to realise, plus the usual recruits we are likley to pick up. On recruits the amount of money that we spent this year was minimal not the rumored $100k plus. On other matters Josh newham will be very fresh come RD 3, it will also be great pleasure to unvail the premiership flag hopefully against the northern demons in RD 1. C ya at the footy chopper and co can't wait. MerryXmas to all and the HFL DIRECTORS

Re: HFL Central Division

hey boys the court has ruled that echunga football club cannot be relegated in 2015 ----about time our the hfl directors show some leadership as their principal activity is to promote --encourage --foster ---and advance Australian football in the hills ----- ps think most of the directors have been missing in action for several years ---time for new faces on the board ------and its starts with some board member resignations ---

Re: HFL Central Division

I think its called been pro-active, its a pitty some of you blokes or girls hav''nt got a clue what it means. Well if you keep letting clubs have 30 kids on there books, sooner or later they just walk away or they go to another club and keep playing simple as that. Just have a look what soccer is doing its growing 4 times faster than AFL. The hills football leauge represents 150000 people just have a look at how many junior soccer teams there are. I know for a fact some bigger clubs than us are strugling for junior numbers. We need to get on the front foot and keep the kids in this great game of ours, otherwise it might be to late.

Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)

Sooky sooky lala roo boy get over it . At least we had the guts to go through with no support apart from two clubs. All you other clubs are to scared to say anything , it's just like the AGM no one queries anything it's just yes yes all passed . Your all just jealous the new boys took out the cup . You should be asking the board why they strongly recommend fighting the case , not one club spoke up, just show of hands passed, they just took 95k for the finals and not one red cent back to clubs for putting on the show and what about this years finals what a stuff up, why don't div 2 play on country champion weekend ? Because CFL said so well stuff em what are they gunna do suspend the whole league . We need forward thinking people to run this league not people stuck in the 80's

Re: Re: Points System Is Crucifying Country Footy

Salary cap won't work , how are you going to stop the wheat farmer or the potato grower from employing a bloke for 2 days and giving him $600 . The cfl should actually get of there butt ,
go and watch a few games and get a feel of what's going on out there.
Apps system only rewards mediocrity why should clubs that win Gf or play finals get penalised?
Give every club the same amount of points or get rid of it.

Re: Re: Points System Is Crucifying Country Footy

Callington folded because they were getting flogged each week, it was an embarrassment to the HFL and Mt lofty ran out of money because they had a tea leaf in the club, not because they bought 3 premierships. Ask yourself's this why have Uriadla been so successful ? Is it money or club culture or is it the coach, there model should be followed, whatever they are doing we should all be striving to match them. Clubs fold not because they run out money but a lack of numbers . Leave it alone it will sort itself out.

Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)

I agree kersbrook oval top shelf.
A few of the directors should be Lobbying local councils for funding to drain some of these so called Div 1 ovals.
And how about rewarding the winners of both GF with a cash bonus instead of having to pay for our medals.
I think they took in excess off 100k last year and not one cent to the clubs that put the show on.
My mail medal tip is Jennings
Paul
Hughes
M Jenkins
Good luck for this week and good luck to all teams in finals

Re: Re: Points System Is Crucifying Country Footy

Well said old bomber,
Clubs don't fold because they run out of money
They fold because they don't have any players
And the CFL should realise this , it restricts smaller clubs
From being competitive the bigger clubs win again they can bring back zero pointers that leave
And top up with a few quality players and in two or three years
They have a super team salary cap or not.
The fun in football is winning not been restricted to mediocrity

Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)

looks like there"s been plenty of goading going on over the past 2 weeks.
i wonder if the CFL OR Zone register can goad any club or player into telling the truth about their financial status.
yes Mt Barker are big underachievers along with Blackwood and onkas.
will interleague be played next year?
if liberal don"t get in will Mt Barker have a new oval?

Re: Club Payments Crackdown

No it hasn't worked , it's just a stupid idea some croanies dreamt up
To try and save the SANFL .
No club has been caught or fined, if clubs are prepared to work hard to raise money they should be allowed to spend
How they want
It's a joke
