Re: Your poison of choice?

Have developed a taste for Fat Yak in recent times. Nice drop. The Irish Whiskey has been copping a good belting lately, Teeling and Kilbeggan are the latest I've had a go at.

Quality Test match pitch this, something in it for bat and ball. Some of the Australian groundsmen should take notice.

The turd sandwich of a pitch the curator has provided has again made this a batfest. If only the sheep who cheer this crap realised it was damaging the game not enhancing it.

Re: Abbott/Liberal Govt Watch

One of the smartest people in politics at the moment is Julie Bishop. Has proven she is a very astute, well presented and measured politician on both the home and international stage. Has generally tried to stay away from the controversy but in the same breath has shown she's got the balls to match it with anyone. Very, very intelligent lady, underestimate her at your peril.

Re: Aust tour squad v NZ announced - Sayers in.

Interesting the Kiwis were unamused when the Aussies were chucking the ball into the pitch and surrounds and Saint Brendan even went to the trouble of picking up the ball when batting to have a look. Now they're doing the exact same thing.

Re: Cornes complaint

The Cornes brigade have got exactly what they wanted out of this situation - people paying attention to them. Chad has put a huge bullseye on himself after this and he will be loving that people will continue to deride him for the rest of the year. He'd be more upset if people ignored him.

Re: Things that make you sad.

Really sorry to read that TDK, all the best to you and your family.

Good luck at with the footy, I'm sure your team mates will get around you and try, for a few hours, make the pain a little easier.
Best thing I did was to play sport the next day when I lost a family member. Helped to normalise things plus be around mates and took my mind off things concentrating on the game at hand.

All the best for today and the coming weeks remember the good times TDK.

Agreed, I did similar when my nan passed, had a few beers after the game and eased the pain a bit. Sorry for your loss lad.

Port Vincent. Top notch place for a family holiday. Stayed in the Foreshore Caravan Park for the 3rd time.Top location, facilities are good, people running it are accommodating. 5 min walk to the pub, supermarket, chemist, butcher (who does very good work), takeaway, kiosk (get the burger), cafe, playground, hardware store, servo. Nice beaches, have a look over the rocks at the end of the marina and see seals frolicking. Do yourself a favour.

Re: Worst AFL media person..

All worthy nominations but it's a 3 way dead heat for first.

David King, Stephan Rowe and Kelly Underwood.

King maybe just a nose in front.

I don't find Kelli Underwood as bad as the other two cretins, she's just as dull as dishwater. She's that boring and montone she'd put you to sleep halfway through a root. Got to listen to most of the 3rd quarter between the Pies and Dogs on 1125 this arvo, it was good hearing Rex and Wallsy together again.

Re: No footy again next week for me and my team

A perfect day for footy in Adelaide today and quess what my team has a bye.
Well done SANFL.
Go and watch another SANFL game or local footy?
That's not the point Phil and VP is right. The program is a disgrace this year and does nothing to promote SANFL or encourage people to follow the league.
You might be gagged these days but that doesn't mean you should get flippant.

The number of byes, when one of the promises was completely the opposite, the TV scheduling, which was going to bring so much sponsorship and exposure, yet mostly focusses on matches involving AFL Reserves teams, and the general lack of media interest has done nothing to promote the SANFL throughout the state.

Without speaking for him, VP is a Rooster supporter, and wants to watch his team, not go watching two other teams he might only have a passing interest in.
Your reply is crap, and dismissive.

Last night's episode with Jake King was one of the best yet. Gave me a whole new view of him. Seems like a ripping lad with a heart of gold and a very loyal mate.

He spoke very well, Mike Sheahan kept trying to bait him but he took it all in his stride. And he put Sheahan back in his place more than once.
