Looks like Gotchy has been busy.

Some good pick ups for Westies there.

Fruitful chats with a 198cm defender with over 50 games of AFL experience. Employment is possible obstacle .

Until we address this issue we are going to continue to struggle to recruit high end talent. Unless of course this is just an excuse the club rolls out each time they miss out on a recruit.

Whose role within the club is it? Who is the person within our club that is building an employment network we can try and lean on when we have potential recruits. Whatever the club is doing at the moment it isn't working.

For mine this is the biggest issue Greg Edwards could address at the club.
Meggsy has got Browny onto this role.

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19)

BREAKING: Former FEMA Whistleblower Celeste Solum explains that the Corona PCR "test" is implanting a microchip.
So the Nasopharyngeal Covid19 PCR "tests" were never tests at all. They are implanting chips, inserting Nanobots called Nanites with a bioweapons payload for the brain, while at the same time harvesting DNA.
The PCR swab is inserted straight to the Nasopharynx behind the nose and forehead where your eyes are. It's at the blood brain barrier and next to your pineal gland. I believe they are knocking out people's senses with these Bioweapons and killing human intuition and your ability to cognitively see what they are doing to us. They're knocking out our senses and targeting the brain with Nanites that carry a payload as Celeste spoke about in previous videos. This is war. Serious warfare.
DECLINE THE "TESTS", REFUSE THE MASKS AND NEVER LET THEM STICK YOU WITH A NEEDLE.

Join @CBKNEWS

Makes perfect sense to me if we use this forum as the sample, it has most definitely killed any intuition and none of you except a few can see through the charade

Perhaps because we now have a new CEO
And Bingo was his name-o!
Why didn't Granty sort this problem area then?
Dunno, ask him, he's there until December.
Probably to do with lack of money,
we own the club outright now & have more disposable income,
plus the mindset at the club has changed now, we're now "speculating to accumulate."

Kennedy from Centrals has left.

No big loss, bit of a flog. Not up to League standard.
Apparently didn't like being told off by the coaching staff in the reserves GF.
Maybe the coaching staff need to recognise the right time to spray players
5 mins left in a GF when your down by 5/6 goals probably isnt ideal
Theres at least 2 others that wont be there, 1 league 1 x reserves
Keep dreaming that Paul is the saviour. Club may go ok financially off field now but on field no hope if hes in charge

Re: Season 2022 Player Movements

The other clubs look to be recruiting pretty well
At this stage we have signed a key forward and a key defender.
The Club is choosing to announce re-signings of current key players first. It's a fair call.
And the 7 announced re-signings are probably our best 7 players from 2021.
At this stage we haven't lost one player who the coaching staff would have in their best 22.

It's just extremely frustrating that We won't publicly announce Our new signings.

Re: Season 2022 Player Movements

Likely upcoming recruitment announcements:

Glenelg-
Jordan Murdoch (Gold Coast/Geelong)

Norwood-
Chris Jansen (Port Melbourne)

Eagles-
Connor Ballenden (Brisbane Lions)
Jarred Allmond (North)
Mitch Duval (West)

Central-
Bailey Reeves (Gold Coast Academy)
Billy McCormack (Frankston )

Impressive sourcing...

Bailey is a smooth moving 182cm on-baller from Qld. Tallied 25 possessions and 12 tackles in a GC Suns Academy game this season.
Billy is a 20yo athletic ruckman.
Good selective recruiting.

If true, these are the type of players We need,
McCormack is pretty solid, 199 cms and 99 kgs,
we need bigger blokes.

Re: Season 2022 Player Movements

We haven’t quite retained all the A grade side

From last year we have lost

Dew
Marsh
Gillard
McLean

And will lose Allir which is about 56 games from last year.

At the moment I reckon we are at a break even maybe just slightly ahead, Dew and Allir being the big loses.

The only walk-up start A grade players are Allir & maybe Dew.

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19)

VFL and NAB league now mandated jabs and the AFL has written to the SANFL and WAFL to “suggest” they do the same
Interesting, AdFL will take their direction from the SANFL - if they mandate, then you'd expect that would flow on to community level. The AFL are pretty much demanding that other comps agree to it as they don’t want AFL listed players playing in unvaccinated comps.
Might be a way to get rid of the two cancers from the comp :)

Yeah right, The SANFL will cave in, it's spineless.

Re: Season 2022 Player Movements

Excited to read on another thread Blake Launer is having a run with Centrals. Will add some grunt and razzle dazzle to the forward line

Yes, Ex-Crow Blake Launer will be playing at Elizabeth this season,
apparently he's a bit of a niggler, similar to the sort of stuff the Twins used to be famous for.
we need someone with a bit of aggro, hopefully he'll get support from bigger teammates lol.

He will be joined by Jamie Jones from Nightcliff, as soon as Nightcliff's season in Darwin has finished.
This lad seems pretty handy, picked up 3 BOGs this season, from the backlines.

Re: Season 2022 Player Movements

Be handy if we could find a ruckman
Plus a key forward
With a couple of excellent key defender acquisitions Fraser Fort can concentrate as a full time fwd option alongside Aiden Grace and Hosko.

We clearly lack a genuine big man capable of dominating the taps .
Billy McCormack will likely be the main ruck. He's not going to win a lot of ruck contests but is a genuine ball winner around the ground with a big tank.

Jacob Thomson might get an opportunity if he gets himself fit.

I may be going out on a limb here but are tap ruckmen all that important? After all, when we won the 2004 GF by 125 points, we lost the vast majority of taps but won the clearances handsomely. It is only about 10% of taps that go to clear advantage on average... we have shown we can rove to the opposition ruckman and totally nullify their effect. Although it would be nice to win those '10% of clear advantages', I don't think we are losing much by not having a genuine tap ruckman. It is the marks a ruckman takes that is more important IMHO.

I reckon this is why we've recruited both Kendall & McCormick,
they're 3 big mobile blokes that CAN ruck but are better up forward.
Together with Fort, I reckon these 3 can cause havoc.
Apparently Jakob Thomson is a lot fitter & is "training the house down."

And just when I thought the world is f*****, a 3 month old baby has been found in it's mothers freezer............................and she has been released with no charge?
If she was psychotic she may be regarded as not responsible due to her mental disorder.

You have to be fairly seriously ill for that defence to work, but there are a lot of seriously psychotic people not in hospital or not being treated, as they need to be clearly "a danger to themselves or others" to be held in hospital against their will, or forced to take treatment they don't believe they need. That is not always easy to make stick even if you think it is true due to law changes that started back in the mid-1980s...
Helps to have a vagina.
Walsh's son is psychotic too & he's locked up.
True - the tricky bit is whether they are so Psychotic they don't register that what they are doing is "wrong" morally or in the eyes of the law.
Personally I think only a small minority of people with psychosis reach that point of not knowing their action is wrong and I've given evidence in court a few times on that issue.

Some of the more severely ill are detained in hospital for assessment and determination of that issue. Sometimes a clever lawyer gets someone off on the basis of psychosis, and it turns out they were not that psychotic.

Another issue that gets some people off is having a rage reactions due to Temporal Lobe Epilepsy which can cause automated behaviour in a technically unconscious state. That is rare but perhaps more convincing that just having psychotic delusions.

Lunch at The Club today, there's a great buzz about the place, Meggsy is turning the place on its head, in a positive way.
Some amazing news I heard today is we are building, over the coming summer, an enclosed "pavilion" to the north of the grandstand, next to the coach's box, so supporters will finally be able to sit inside, have a drink & watch the footy.
Also, the eastern mound will be removed so as to "engage the community" with the oval, hopefully to encourage people to attend some matches.
An undercover area will be built there, so people can watch the footy & not get wet, should it rain, as well as a kids' playground.
