Re: Cringeworthy Ads

We should get sushi Carol.

Need I say any more...

I love that ad, makes me chuckle every time.
It's iconic at my work place.

Every time our receptionist makes her morning coffee I walk out of my office with my headphones on and ask her loudly "How are those reports coming along?"

Then voices appear from various sections of the office asking about ham and suggesting sushi.

Re: Things that make you laugh

Was watching that 100 show last night and they were asking how many people leave something out for the garbo at Christmas, the Becky chick said she doesn't but she flashes her tit at them.
As a kid my dad use to leave them two long necks, nowadays I find them pedantic pricks so I leave them nothing. In our area if the lid is even partially raised they don’t empty the bin.

As a kid they ran behind trucks throwing shit in the truck earning a thirst, now they drive around in air conditioned units with massive windscreens.

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19)

so at my work, the scared liittle people in the offices have forced back into how we were 18months ago, its a fricken joke, and they are hiding behind the government saying thats what theyve been told they have to do.
My direct boss told me i have to wear a mask whenever i go in the office, I told him i have a medical exemption, he then said take to it up with the general manager. I replied i wont be taking it up with anyone, my medical exemption is just that, none of anybodies business, all you need to know is i have one, off he walked.
Still no vax mandate though.
Ready to go on that front from many angles.
A good start when they talk of WHS is can i see the MSDS on the vaccine?

If you going to get pedantic and draw very thin bows you might want to request to see a SDS.

Re: Rolling Stone '200 Best Australian albums of all-time'

You Am I - Sound As Ever stiff to miss out but good to see Mark of Cain - Ill At Ease in there, LMA is one of my top songs ;)

There used to be a poster on here that was such a fan of that TMOC song his name was LMA ;)

I too thought Sound As Ever was a bit stiff to miss out but really surprised #4 Record couldn't sneak into the Top 200.

I would've thought Powderfinger's Double Allergic might've got a guernsey too.

TISM'swww.tism.wanker.com should've got in on the back of Thunderbirds Are Coming Out and The Parable of Glenn McGrath's Haircut.

IMO The Fauves' Lazy Highways is a better all round album than Future Spa.

This ones for Jim05 and anyone else who works at an airport.

Do you realise the airport is federal land and as there is no federal mandates the mandates do not apply on federal land.
I personally know someone who has been able to fly, unmasked, unvaxed using this approach.

I bet they feel like a hero within their nutjob circles, they may even write songs about them one day

Re: Australian International Summer (The Ashes) 2021/22

Shocking shot by Carey….for mine he looks so far out of his depth batting at test level.

Has struggled to get off the mark in any of his innings, is having to resort to reverse sweeps early on to find some gaps and keeps getting out to shocking shot selection
He made a 50 in his third innings in test cricket, give him a break.
Tough pitch to bat on.
He'll still ton up at some stage.

That will come as the skills continue to improve I reckon, what's it been 4 seasons?

It's not as if women's Australian rules football was only invented four years ago.
No, but there’s a shitload more money & resources being thrown at it now. The AFL have recognised the potential here.
Give it 5 more years & the improvement will be huge.

Great comment by Punter re: Marnus.

He should be not allowed to pass judgement on a DRS.

I’m sick to f**king death of Marnus, who does he think he is? This whole no ruuuuun bullshit, the over exaggerated leaving swinging the bat around and the way he carries on trying to be Steve Smith then every time he gets out there’s an excuse or a reason backed up by the media. Then we he bowls every ball is a wicket. Every time they get a wicket runs straight to Steve Smith to lick his a55. I Can’t stand the prick

    Re: ATCA

Lets look at it glass half full...

PD were struggling for numbers, like most clubs due to covid.
They were looking down the barrel at having to call off their C1 game.
Instead their A-graders, who's own game had been cancelled due to a wet deck, put their hands up, and helped fill the gaps in B2 and C1 to allow those games to go ahead.

Rather than spending a day on the cans, these blokes put the club and the game ahead of their own afternoon off, and ensured 44 blokes got to play cricket.

    Heroes the lot of them.

    Unbelievable.
We have been bounced out... there's the template.
Yet no short bowling in return.
Bounce used to be our asset. Now its our weakness. Don't bowl them and can't play them.

I went away for work as a youngster back in 98 and shacked up with this tall blonde at the Scarborough pub, booze was plentiful, we had a great few days together. I think Cam Green might be my lad

Re: Australian International Summer (The Ashes) 2021/22

Step into the breach when Australian Cricket is in crisis - check,
Sets standards of behaviour - check
    Retains ASHES - check
Has coaching style questioned, changes style /behaviours - check
Wins T20 World Cup - check
    Retain ASHES again - check

Still not good enough to get a contract extension, WTF??

Bottom line if he hadn’t adjusted his coaching style and we’d lost the ASHES fair cop.

With only being offered a 5 month extension to the end of the T20 World Cup, cricket Australia have loaded the gun and let JL fire the gun himself.

With what happened to Paine, now JL and I still maintain they set the culture and standards that led to Cape Town (that disgraceful 4-0 sign at the end of the 2017-18 ASHES) CA proving once again Ian Chappell is right went it comes to the self interested, non transparent attitude of Australian Cricket Administrators!!!

Re: Things that make you laugh

Another Northpark shopping centre nugget of gold…
Woman has reverse parked up against the gutter next to the main building, no problem so far. Leans trolley against safety bollard, loads shopping into boot & leaves trolley even though trolley bar is 2 parks away. Young lad walks past & suggests she puts it back properly as the wind may blow the trolley into other parked cars. She tell him to mind his own f#cking business, gets in her car. He grabs trolley and wheels it into the back of her car, really hard.
She gets out in a rage but he’s off & gone, she had no hope

she thought it was a brand, like Bullmers.....
