$200m invested returning a modest 6% will result in an annual tax bill of $5,610,667 (including the Medicare levy).

Better get it into a trust or two...

Re: Survivor: Season 22- Redemption Island *WITH SPOILERS*

Yeah I started this season of Aussie Survivor late. (recorded them and have been catching up).
Continues to be edited poorly. The last episode showed V being sneaky, but then stopping because V was apparently walking past herself...

Re: Gaza FC - Salary Cap Breaches

Once again, if the club can pay $380k over the cap over 5 years, they clearly have money.
They can pay the fine.

Re: ATCA

Browny, why did you need to call Heyzer? Surely you guys all knew the bylaws.

By the way, aren't 'handshake agreements' prohibited?

Re: Australian International Summer 2023/24

The 6th 10th wicket 100 run stand for Australia.

Keep rolling boys, knock off Anderson and Root who almost made it to 200 back in 2014.

Re: Things that you are looking forward to

We got 4 in a pick 6 powerhit, meaning we effectively had 5+PB 3 times, 5 57 times and 4+PB 26 times.
Nice little trip into head office on Gawler Place to arrange the funds transfer.

Unfortunately I've got to pass most of it on to the other syndicate members!

Re: ATCA

Umpire didn’t report him supposedly….

Thats what worries me, they will get away with a "technicality"

Surely ATCA can step in after seeing this vision??

Yes, ATCA can, and often does, investigate any matter they see fit, with or without an umpires report.

The umpire in question obviously is embarrassed by his part and doesn't want the attention on the entire incident.

Out of interest who is the ATCA compliance officer?

I assume it's Greg Gade.

Re: ATCA

Correct, Heyzer's role is generally an administration role.
He would have collected statements from the umpires, captains, and other key witnesses as required, but the ruling would have been made by one of the handful of commissioners ATCA has.

Oh, and it would be 4* rounds of the two day competition, not 4 weeks.
Yes, Rd 11 is a one dayer, but the semi final and grand final are two fairly big games to sit out.

* - note: I am assuming the 4 reported earlier in the thread is correct, mind you, normally these things aren't really closed out until Wednesday or Thursday, as it takes time to collect statements, consider, write a report, and offer the penalty to the club, then the club usually gets a day or two to consider and accept or take it to a tribunal hearing. As such, I'm not convinced we actually do know what he's got.

Re: ATCA

I was only stating what I'd been told by some people today, quite a few actually, maybe I should of elaborated on that and maybe it was wrong info.

In the end I'm sure it all comes out soon and will be discussed vigorously then.

You've been closest to the mark all the way through Trader, maybe you have heard what the go is.

Yup, your comment was clear it wasn't certainly 2, but others have run with it.

Nah, I've been miles off, I said he should get 7-11 :D

knowing that it is going to be 40 degrees on Saturday, when do ATCA make the call to cancel the games from B2 downwards?
From memory as late as 9am on the day.

Wonder if they still have the hotline you could call for an update !

And yes, 9am on the day is the official cut off time, but I wouldn't be shocked if it comes out a little earlier.
Will most certainly still be Saturday morning though, way too many teams currently sitting 5th that will have a fit if they call it friday night and then saturday morning's forecast is revised back to 39.

Re: I need to know....

My two cents:

You are paying the cleaners come in to do the cleaning. (Vacuum, mop & bucket, scrub toilets, etc).

You don't want to pay them to tidy first.

That means pack your sh!t up, no clothes lying around, no toys left out, etc, so when she arrives, she can get straight into the cleaning.
