are you saying it is too easy to get a reaction from a number of SAFooty posters who are clearly emotionally affected by what has happened to the league they

Of course I am, you blokes are pathetic.
Were you part of the embarrassing crowd at Alberton today?
Judging by the piss weak crowd numbers at Alberton this year I think its safe to say plenty of genuine Magpies supporters are not interested in watching this farce either

Re: Round 12 - live scores, results & gas bagging.

Lance cleared
And rightly so, just a good hard hit.
Common sense sees Myers get off aswell.
Vickery gets 2 and Matt Thomas 1.
Ballantyne referred directly to tribunal for his hit on Jaensch. Was a great hit and a good decision to send it to the tribunal as with his record he would of got 3 with the points system, hopefully the tribunal chucks it out, not worth a free kick let alone a game

Re: Essendon 2014

Essendon just have to realise that they're part of a league and that they can't just go to the courts every time they don't get their way.

They can't expect any leniency when they've tried to dodge all of this since day one.

They can blame no-one but themselves for putting their players into this predicament.
Id be more than happy for the club to cop severe penalties but not players.

Re: World Cup - Brazil 2014

We are simply not good enough. We played some great patches and some rubbish patches. Team selection was ordinary and the coach is simply no good.
Ive said since day 1 we will never be a success with a Aussie coach who has no experience in the big leagues, he sat on his hands and let the game get away from us in that final 15 minutes. His love of that plodder Milligan beggars belief, he is slow in the A-League and just a dumb footballer.
Definately not happy with a loss especially against a Chile side with a worse defence than us, we simply didnt attack them enough. Job is always harder with the refs against you aswell though

Re: Port 2014 - Pre-Season/General Discussion

Disappointing crowd on the weekend, good time slot, great venue, team is top of the ladder.....what is the excuse now?

Rubbish.

No it is not and you know that's the case. 1:40 Saturday clashes with so much grass roots sport it's not funny. Against the shithouse Western Bulldogs at about the worst time slot possible, 34,000 is an acceptable if not surprising crowd. I thought anything over 30,000 would be a good effort.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________

Jackson Trengove signed a two year extension today, keeping him at the club until the end of 2017 at least.
Agree, garbage timeslot against a side with about 500 supporters.

Two terrible pens, big choke by the Dutch

Or good saves by the keeper too.

Once again jim, bright side of life mate!
Second was a good save on review but the first was a woeful penalty. Hit with the venom of 5 year old. Needed to atleast put some pepper on it. Very poor attempt from a good player.

Re: The 2014 season no AFL in the SANFL whinge thread

When you all realise the sanfl is a farm system and you'll know there was no real options to choose from. Go ask league coach's what they would prefer? This year or last year. I know they would prefer this years structure. Anyway the magpies loses their zone, under 18's and recruiting rights due to it constricts afl draft rules. It's maybe time that clubs be more professional instead going through the motions eg like North Adelaide.
This years structure of not having AFL players spread between all sides is better but a far better option would be for no AFL players to play in the SANFL

Re: Adelaide loses Australia Day match

One test of the Aus v NZ 2015/16 tour will be a day night test match, will be between us and TAS to see who gets it

Let the two heads have it. Test cricket should be played between the hours of 11am and 6pm.

you probably said the same when day night cricket came about.

did you oppose the lights at adelaide oval too?

as long as it doesnt affect the game so much that you cant have a contest, and i think that one day cricket has shown that this isnt the case, im all for it.

going down after work to watch the final session would be awesome.

still annoyed that we have been royally screwed over this season in the scheduling though.
Until they can get the ball right im against night test matches. If they get that sorted im all for it. Dont think the feedback about the balls in the D/N Shield games was that positive.
Also who else is touring next year?
Dont want a test against the sheep shaggers if it means we miss another opponent

Round 12 LIVE scores

West won, Tex wasnt there, no membership cards were harmed, pretty ho hum by the sounds of it

Any SANFL commissioners threaten to break the jaws of people voicing opposition to the AFL reserves teams?

I know that always enlivens a day at the footy for me. ;) Do tell

I'd had a polite but heated discussion with a prominent Norwood supporting SANFL Commissioner on Facebook about the long term damage of the AFL reserves teams on the SANFL. It finished with me telling him that I'd make myself known to him at the footy next time I saw him, which happened at the Glenelg game.

Put simply he went beserk, told me he was going to knock my effing block off, knock me out and then, and most hilariously, that the 'police were on to me'. Truly bizarre behaviour that shows the depth of the pressure they're under.

Anyway, hopefully I ruined his day at the footy. ;)
What a stooge
Should of accepted his offer and then headbutted the prick.
Hopefully this knob cops a barrage at future games

World Cup - Brazil 2014

Are Brazilian fans as critical of performance like Columbians are? ?
If they are the then the Goalie would be shitting bricks
Not much the keeper can do when your defence is like tin foil. Dont think he was at fault for most of them, a couple could of been dealt with slightly better but these things happen

This. All of the shots were wide open on the 6 yard box. Can't do much there.

David luiz (sp?) however...
He has always been the same, terrible defender. Looks a million dollars when he is attacking down the flanks but doesnt have a defensive bone in his body. Never tracks back and gets caught out far too often, always loses his man in traffic aswell.
Their defence was always a concern.

Boy was training this morning, so we taped the match & just watched it.
OMG... What an unbelievable result!

Brazil's back 4 was pathetically bad - nervous on the ball & 1st touches were disgraceful.
The marking was non-existent!

So my $8 is still alive!!!

C'mon Argies - give me the $17 Finalists Result :D
I also took that with Sportsbet.
My pocket would love a Germany v Argentina final but im not fussed as id rather the Dutch so im willing to cop a loss in the pocket

Port 2014 - Pre-Season/General Discussion

I'm just Wondering what the Port folk ( and any others ) thought it would take for you to trade Johnny Butcher. I was listening to Tredrea yesterday say that it would take a first and second round pick for Port to let him go...

I nearly crashed the car into a tree due to not being able to see for the tears of laughter...

I would think a 2nd round pick would be more than enough...

Thoughts???

He'll be delisted and if anyone wants him they will get him for nothing
There wouldnt be a SANFL club who would take him let alone a AFL side

Not talking about her latest stuff.
She has had a long running feud from the days when her old man was incharge of Richmond. There was also a Essendon board member several years ago that was a friend of hers and was found to be leaking to her, the club sacked her and Wilson has never forgiven us. There was also the fact we sacked her friend Knights as coach which is the reason she hated Hird even before the latest dramas

Re: Round 18 - live scores, discussion & confabbing.

not denying that, but he still hasnt singlehandedly won you games imo. (you might be able to say otherwise)
Probably hasnt won us any singlehandedly, just been solid. Just think its a year where no ruck has really dominated and put their names up as certainties, could probably throw a blanket over 8 or 9 ruckmen for AA honours. Mumford has had a great year and everytime I see Goldstein he tends to beat his opponent, then you add Sandilands, Jacobs, Minson, Ryder just to name a few.
Knowing how they pick AA these days they will probably name Ablett in the ruck, seems more about fitting as many mids into the side than naming an actual side lol
