Re: Ashes 4th test Boxing Day - Melbourne Discussion

Dedja
Coulter Nile did most things right when trying to catch that ball
It was a good enough effort , in my opinion
Does not deserve to be rubbished by you or anyone else for that effort
Sorry Mal I disagree.
I would think that nearly every other player out there would of taken that catch. Lyon and Harris in particular have taken some rippers at fine leg.
Coulter-Nile positioned himself poorly and paid the price

Re: Ashes 4th test Boxing Day - Melbourne Discussion

Looks like a great call to send them in. Chasing 300 on a slow crumbling deck. Unfortunately our woeful batting has been papered over by the form of Warner and Haddin and the ineptness of the Poms batting coupled with the Aussie bowling being superb. Still have major issues at the top of the order. Steyn and co would be licking their lips at the chance to get a crack at Bailey and Watson in particular

Re: Ashes 4th test Boxing Day - Melbourne Discussion

What a bunch of bandwagonners the Barmy Army are ...

A lot like you blokes on here fair dinkum it's like a hair salon in here you blokes shit can your own team the second they look like failing. Yet when your up and about it's all good.

You've all hated Haddin and Johnson yet now your in love with them. same as Smith you all hate him hits a ton bang you all love him.

Like the australian media in today's paper Kallis retires because Australia are 3-0 get fu&@ed typical australian media bullshit .
The Saffer media were going with that yesterday.
Some of them are very critical of him pulling the pin now

Just disgusting isn't it? The bloke's 38 and his batting has dipped dramatically this year.
I think the Saffer media is as brutal as ours, for all the great service he has given their side there are still several outlets who take pot shots at him.
Probably similar to the constant media attacks on Ponting over his final 12 months.
Even at Kallis' age id still rather us face a side without him than with him

Warner should never of been released between tests to play in a meaningless gimmick game. Looked a completely differant batter this test.

SELFISH SLOW BATTING REALLY COST SOUTH AFRICA LOL LOL LOL
Their gun quicks have got the job done.
On a side note these guys are number 1 in the world and they attract a smaller crowd than a sheffield shield game, pathetic.
And to think these clowns want us to give up our Boxing Day Test to go and play infront of 50 people over there, get faarked

Normally im a big fan of Boof but reckon he has got it wrong with his criticism of the SCG pitch. Labelled it unfit for a test, im sick of roads being dished up in Australia and it was great to see a green top, who cares if it only goes 2-3 days. We will get similar served up to us in South Africa

Actually you are right, if you only count real cricket.
Yes, averaging 14 this year in real cricket and has been dropped by the Vics

One of Sleepys best posts ever :D

Jim , are you being a bit harsh on Finch's 14 average at FC level this season ?
He does average 28 in 68 innings
Well Bailey got a test gig on the back of averaging 18 in the Shield last season so Finch must be a monty to go to South Africa

Re: Adelaide Crows Reserves 2014

to you it might not be more important, and thats fair enough, but to the game of football as a whole, and to a vast majority of football fans in this state, it is clearly more important.
Being able to take over the SANFL does or at least should not follow from the fact that the AFL is more popular. Would the fact that the Premier League is bigger, or 'more important' than the Championship mean that Manchester United should field a reserves team in the championship?

Exactly imagine the reaction if man united even suggested, old Trafford would be burnt down by rival fans literally

dont get me started on the EPL, if there was ever a league that lacked integrity :D
At least they have an even draw and dont have a riduculous draft system where the head honchos decide who gets what picks

Re: Crows 2014

What? Just think there is no need for blatantly retarded statements like the karma bus comes along when a guy gets injured. It's just so stupid
Why is it that supporters of all other clubs including Port cop grief and just laugh it off yet as soon as something negative is said about the Cows its the end of the world?
And what happened to all the Cows supporters hoping for Tippett to get injured last year?

Re: Crows 2014

I don't mind negative things being said at all, far from it. But to infer that an injury to our captain is some sort of divine retribution for some real or perceived indiscretion is just silly.

Talk about how crap we are all you like, or how trigg shouldn't be there but surely delighting in the injuries to players is taking it too far
I hope your fans remember that when Tippett comes to town next or are they too busy arranging a choir to meet him at the airport?

Re: Abbott/Liberal Govt Watch

i actually agree with the Libs here - why should the government retool a factory? (i think it is a little different to the cash given to the car industry over the years, which, although much more, was a huge industry)

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jan/30/tony-abbott-cabinet-rejects-25m-assistance-plea-from-spc-ardmona
SPC are owned by Coca-Cola so they are one of the wealthiest companies on the planet, let them pay for their own re-tooling.
