Re: Ch9AFL Division 6 - 2017

Now I can't say whether this is true or false. As the source I heard it from, I'm not sure if what he says is fact or not. What he said to me was that Fitzroy will be in bad financial trouble very soon. Whether it be as early as this season or perhaps next year. I could be totally off centre but I thought I'd post to see if someone could clarify whether it be fact or fiction.

financial trouble? We can't even afford a plate for our specialist Reserves Coach....

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 6 - 2017

Easiest answer to it is just to get your FF and FB to boot the balls away or over the fence before the game starts, then between goals and points, and when the ball is in play down the opposite end. problem solved.

Hearing Fitzroy a-grade coach has walked, frustrated at certain players not wanting to play a's

Not sure who you are hearing from, but he gave you wrong information. So a-grade coach is seeing out the rest of the season?

Maybe I didn't clarify it when i said you had been given wrong information in relation to what you "heard".

" Hearing Fitzroy a-grade coach has walked, frustrated at certain players not wanting to play a's "

Yes, Coach has parted ways, but not for the reason you cited.

so, as stated, you've been given wrong information.

Cheers Informer and thanks for the hospitality by the raiders other clubs could definitely take a leaf out your book.
All 4 sides were up for the fight Saturday and reflected on the scoreboard. Was an enjoyable day.
Even talk like an experienced A grade coach now :P ;)

Doesn't even crack any jokes anymore. All professional now.

Pretty sure he even recorded the game to review it all AFL like with the players on Tuesday.....

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 6 - 2018

Wish Fitzroy v West Croydon was Rd 1, that would be enjoyable viewing.

Would be a let down and wouldn’t compare to the recent goings on by the sounds of it.

why?

There's no one left at Fitzroy anyway Bedge - so wouldn't have the same effect as most rivalry games..

Spoken like someone who believes that he and his mates were the be all and end all of a club.....

All Clubs are bigger then the sum of "players" who last a single year...

The list of players who came and went, the vast majority were from the same group....

So in reality, the actual core of the club playing group is still there building away.

What a man.

Almost correct onballer definitely no meth in that grand final. Someone feeding you rubbish on that.

I heard a few involved got bailed up at beach night spot on a Friday night not long after and we’re very surprised and cowardly walked away with nothing to say...
Anyhoo doesn’t take away the fact the bloke is scum.

Are your old boys considering maybe cutting out a portion of the photo hanging on the wall?

Ok, this is where this garbage now stops. I find the hypocrisy of this forum sometimes astounding whereby it will suppress or delete things that others from other clubs have been accused of or even found guilty of but it's open season on others.

This accusation/slander of drugs on the 2019 GF is now getting ridiculous. I was in that room myself. It did not happen.

Onballer, Your coma inducing argument of " I wasn't there but someone somewhere asked someone about something and they didn't deny it therefore it must be true" would be laughed right out of a year 7 School debate.

So if anyone has any actual hard physical evidence of any kind, put it up or kindly do not make that comment anymore.

As for the actual incident itself, it's a damn tragedy and our thoughts are with his ex partner and her children. hoping for the best for them in a time which would be extremely difficult for all involved. It's affected a few people who were trying to help prior to this.

D6 Trivia.

Direct distance from away change-rooms, to away bench (all Div 6 clubs)

Ingle Farm 22m
West Croydon (old) 66m
Marion 69m
Fitzroy 79m
Central United 94m
Para Hills (old) 101m
Rosewater 129m

and wait for it...

Trinity 263m

That Concludes D6 Trivia.

Re: 2022 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6

They've Been like that for years now. Kinda sad really.
Exactly.. I would hazard a guess, majority of "major" D6 incidents over the past 8yrs would have Trinity involved as the opponent.

Ultimate kings at provoking and having the opposition retaliate and get busted.

At least they got rid of the cheating goal umpire :P

Add another one to the list from the weekend.
Yeah, I heard Reecy got 4 weeks

So that now makes 17 suspensions from 5 years? I haven't seen the incident, however surely it's about time all the rest of the D6 clubs called each other and advise the league together that no one will now play TOS for the remainder of the year?

Simply put, too much antagonism, and too much risk, both financially and mentally for clubs to deal with them anymore, and considering there have been multiple complaints about them and their behavior behind the scenes for years now and the league really don't seem to take it seriously enough?

Re: 2022 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6

Honestly mate you are plucking this rubbish out of your ass, you are trying to create something that just is not there.
Have a look at the incident that he got 4 weeks for before you comment. Infact watch the whole video and try find some "Trinity antagonism"

I can tell you right now that TOS did not ask this to go further than a yellow card, in talks with the league they said they do not want further action to be taken and the yellow card was spot on.

This antagonism slander is just rubbish, stop being a coward behind a keyboard.

So that now makes 17 suspensions from 5 years? I haven't seen the incident, however surely it's about time all the rest of the D6 clubs called each other and advise the league together that no one will now play TOS for the remainder of the year?

Yes you're right. The club that over the years was on the phone weekly to the league nailing everything they could, the club that put videos up and called news stations before the league could do it's own work, is now the same club apparently begging the league suggesting that a yellow was spot on.

My apologies.

Re: 2023 Adelaide Footy League - Division 2

Exactly this
Yeah nah

It should NEVER work that way

Why not?

So a player who plays all his junior footy for his school, due to no fault of his own, suddenly works to a different system than the majority of ammo footballers around the state ??

Yeah thats fair.

Well, yeah. It is what it is. Due to no fault of his own? His parents decided to send him to Said school, or the school may be paying a scholarship to have him there.. the family could have said no. Kid could have said no. The Club isn't the one paying the Scholarship. Play the required 25 games for the club in question, and become a zero point player.

If the college school sides wish to run their own junior comp OUTSIDE of the SANFL system, OUTSIDE of the Amateur comp, why should the Amateur club reap the rewards of zero point players? why should they reap the reward of having x player go play SANFL/AFL/ country, then come back to the Amateur club, who had nothing to do with his development, as a zero point player?

he played for the school, not the club.

Lets flip the script then shall we? if you play for a college, and come out of the college system, and go and then play somewhere else before coming back to said college amateur club, without playing the required 25 or so games for the Amateur club in question, then you are a zero point player for all clubs in the Amateur league regardless.

Re: 2023 Adelaide Footy League - Division 2

Not at all. and I see you did not even try to debunk one single point I made besides, "oh why won't someone think of the children??"

It's a fairness argument. The age is irrelevant. The school(s) has chosen it's path, and that's having it's own system.

You seem to be advocating, and happy with, a two tiered system whereby some Amateur clubs in the Adelaide Footy league get a free pass on points just because someone went to the school with the same name as an amateur league club, even though they have never actually played for that specific Amateur league club.

I even gave you an out, by suggesting that if they leave their said college , go and play SANFL/AFL/Country, whatever, and want to return to the ADFL, that they can return as a zero point player to ANY club in the ADFL, thereby opening up opportunities for any club to go after them , rather then being zero points for one club, and 3 points for another.

Re: Gaza FC - APPS Breaches

Might also add that for an offence apparently so serious to warrant an extraordinary fine/huge suspensions that 4 APPS points seems a bit trifling? One player a year?

Yep 100%.

Real misalignment between the financial fine and the players fine.

Personally if the breaches were 'so serious' then imo a fair result would be the club can still operate but they would have next to no points (which can be tracked through APPS) and that we would see them drop through down through the grades.

At the moment its hard to see how they would open the doors with such a fine.

No one learns that way. Why would it be fair? how many clubs would have lost or been relegated because GAZA were not playing fair by being over the cap and rorting the system?

I would hazard a guess that GAZA have
- been over the cap by big $$ for more then before 2018
- it's endemic at the club with multiple parties involved.
- It's cultural at some clubs to do this kind of thing.

Id' go as far to even suspend the players that got extra payments from playing in any comp anywhere for a year, and ban then from being allowed to sign contracts for 5 years. You want to play? play for free champ.

Heard Old Bedge was doing the rounds yesterday. Was seen at multiple clubs with lookouts on the prowl for new players. Was incognito wearing a cricket top.
Can confirm, I was their with him, we were walking our dog.

Cricket top on? Which one of his 127 different tops? ;)

At least its a change from him being in the bushes watching Men with nothing on.....

This is horribly disgusting yet strangely alluring and erotic.

Coached to play bruise free, out in the open football, bashed up in both finals and the players had no idea how to respond.
Maybe that speaks more about the players than the coach.

What has happened at Elizabeth? I saw them in 2021 run riot and go through undefeated
Eastern Park recruited all their good players? :P

I actually have no idea - they lost a few last year and obviously got relegated, and have heard they have lost more this year to Gumeracha? Have dropped their C grade this season as well.

No chop in the Gumeracha movement, just a bunch of C graders.
Problem with Elizabeth is systemic and has been coming for years, mismanagement from the top, no respect for the playing group and no help for the coaching group.
Club held ransome by a c grade nobody major sponsor who pledged to change the world but got to hard and bailed plus a massive **** you from a long serving family at the last AGM.
Sad and shameful so why would you stay as a player, Greenshields did all he could with what he had and the last few A graders leaving was the last straw.
