Re: Great Southern Football League

Apparently a delegates meeting next week so I’m told.

Compass to lose points and get fined for 2 breaches. They think they are smart but there’s a very solid bit of info that has brought them undone

Do they send the puppet to the meeting or is our favourite family first man gutsy enough to get out from behind the strings??

Care to share the "Solid bit of info" ?

Better let the clubs bring it to a head first, don’t want puppet master and his gsfl mates concocting a story between now and then

Re: Great Southern Football League

Haven’t heard a thing??

Couldn’t be heard over the whinging of the mount compass women’s footy crew.

Wow!. Thought our family first man was the biggest flog in the gsfl but this compass women’s coach takes the cake. Embarrassing for an already embarrassed club.

Re: Great Southern Football League

Has an entire competition (other than the GSFL execs) ever been so happy with a club going out in $traight $ets!!
Where’s Luv a Kick? He might be the first causality after that debacle of a season.
Rumour has it Rob Brokenshire is appealing today’s result and requesting an extra 200 points next season.

Re: Great Southern Football League

Wliiunga and GPE have massive injury lists

GPE’s depth severely tested, they have 12 of their best 21 out, which includes 5 season ending knees and Heinzte who has been their best. After compass they would have been eyeing off a few late season wins but just getting a side on the park had become a priority

Re: Great Southern Football League

GPEFC are very much like the Cove FC, who almost lost their facility at the hands of the Marion Council. The local council are trying their best to make it difficult for football to operate at the faculty. The actual game is a long way off their agenda. Lots of meetings and legal battles. Football not high on the priority list. This has happened to mt barker too, but they’ve been lucky enough to be able to stay out until the summit is sorted, which will likely not happen

Re: Great Southern Football League

looking at the update ins and outs, Goolwa needs some huge signs and players recomiting to not be the points booster again

Not sure the bottom 4 clubs would be going after huge signings. With pongy and victor spending around $5k a week (maybe more??), they wouldn’t catch up anyway. Better off just ticking over and not being involved in the bidding wars. Goolwa with 5 blokes at $1000 each, probably could be a shot at 5th but that’s not good finance management
