Re: Port Adelaide 2019

My original point was Port haven’t progressed forward in this area as much as the other Clubs have.

Hmmm..interesting how do you measure "progressing forward" in what's widely recognized as one of the best programs in the country?

Paul Vandenbergh is an amazing individual who would do more than you could even possibly dream up in one of your anti-Port wet dreams and the program he oversees should only be admired.

Unbelievable that I'm arguing with you about it, but that's your call because I'll defend it to the hilt.

I found it staggering that recent departures of Impey, Wingard, Ah Chee and Amon wanting out were attributed to Vandenbergh.

So why Would 4 indigenous players leave the greatest indigenous programme the afl has ever seen in the last 24 months then ???

Genuine question.

Let me guess Hinkley ???

Re: Port Adelaide 2019

I'm amazed how you've got such a handle on the relationships Williams had with Marlon Motlop, Daniel Motlop and Alipate Carlile 8 years ago as well as Hinkleys relationship with Ryder, Amon, Neade, Wingard*, Motlop, Powell-Pepper, Johnson, Barry and Thomas*.

Anyone would think you're just making shit up. Not me. I believe you.

At the end of the day he’s had discipline issues, behaviour issues & commitment issues at numerous clubs.

What he said
Has all the talent in the world but that only gets you so far.
I’d be surprised if he even plays a league game before quitting/sacked.

Reckon he only has one game suspension to get and he is banned for life. Way too risky getting him. No coach can stop someone with his discipline. He will snap and some point and that will be career over. Absolutely crazy by Dogs!

That would be his brother.

Re: Port Adelaide 2019

Must admit Ive been seriously surprised by how important the 1 Captain issue is with so many Port supporters. Heaps of people talking about handing in their membership if the club breaks with tradition. I understand the want of many to keep in line with a proud history, and Ive always personally been a fan of just the 1 skipper at a club, but at the end of the day support the club and if they decide co-captains is in their best interest (why else would they do it?) then surely you just go with it?

The die hard/front running port fans will use any excuse to jump off.

Time slots
AAMI stadium is crow stadium(2 minutes from Alberton)
Weather
Ticket prices
Making a grand final and getting ass punched
Train strikes
Beer prices
Missing out on pregame dragon boat races
Telecast was Live on tv
Paying a for a bus ticket to the game

The results don’t change just the excuses.

Are port going to take up the bad press they cop with former player Dwayne Russell.

As for co-captains at port well the line “it’s the true port Adelaide tradition”’ I’m assuming will be changed :-)

Looks like we need to add co-captains to the list of excuses PAFC fans won’t attend Afl games in droves :-)

Re: The never ending No AFL in the SANFL whinge thread

Speaking of Intregity . Port whingeing , yes again , about the AO hotel . FFS was it not them that initiated the move there ?Oh yes it was ! I say pack your bags and play at Alberton and sort it yourself. Leaches . Port were asked for some information about AO in a parliamentary enquiry about the operation of the place. If you have re aad a few if the articles it states that Port asked the SMA for more detailed and were denied this, hence they cannot provide a reasonable response without the correct details.

The Crowd were asked for the same input.

Also Port and the Crows are pushing for a seat on the SMA table, this has been constant for some time bit was stated again in recent articles.

Now pafc and crows want to control Adelaide oval revenue and take control of sma.

Anyone else surprised even after a $9 million uplift in revenue for the afl clubs by moving to Adelaide Oval. That they contributed nothing towards.

The afl clubs still want more.

Pafc nearly bankrupted sa football and now wants to control its finances.

Unbelievable.

Re: Eagles seeking compensation

The GF result is irrelevant. It’s about “potential revenue” lost.

Considering north were found guilty of “gross negligence” in causing the 19th man scenario this should of been a no brainer.

If it goes to court eagles would win easily imho

It’s not like we are talking about millions of dollars in compensation.

But wouldn’t that same “potential revenue” be equally valid for their GF opponent?

Regardless, I’m not sure how they could seek compensation for an unquantifiable amount?

No due to norwood didn’t lose an opportunity.

Re: Centrals vs North Good Friday Prospect Oval

We earned that win, worked hard all day. Polish isn't there but the effort today could not be faulted. Cocks kicked 3 goals from holding the ball decisions (all of which were there) through us not taking the 1st option. If we give that sort of performance for the rest of the year win, lose or draw Dogs supporters should be happy. Fish, Hosko, Menzel best. Jydon Neagle is a beauty. Darcy Pisani will be very good for us this year, rucks are showing enough, just need a key forward.

Well said dogs r missing Butch upfront big time. But we are hugely improved on last year.

Menzel is a class above, the most talented player I’ve seen at the club since Josh Glenn/Nic Holman. Jyden Neagle is going to be beauty, Matt was very good in his first game. The two ruckman have a dip. Auckland is a better mark but Davis is becoming a big factor in the second half. Pisani is solid and Ortiz gives great pressure in the front half.

Gillard is one of the most improved players in the SANFL.

Usual suspects Schillers Hoskin Goodrem Habel Presbury very good, Jenner’s experience in defence is invaluable

Have to feel for the bloke, I just hope he gets back to being himself again, football means nothing here.
Yep, very scary when you hear him say things like he can’t leave the house because of constant headaches and his partner is basically his full time carer.
Sounds like the Saints have pretty much crossed him off the list but he is having a hard time accepting it

I think He is contracted for another year so rookie list maybe.

Patty with concussion and Roberton with his heart condition will probably have to retire early

Here’s hoping Jack Steven can recover from his issues.

You know in diving when you work out the score, you take away the best score and worst score...that's how I feel with this argument.
think both of you are at the extremes.

1 ) I'm not aware that Koch is stepping down
2 ) I doubt the China Strategy will come to an end if/when Koch steps down
3 ) I don't typically converse with that twat ( not Koch )

$485 for 11 games.

$44 a game before he has brought a beer/pie/merchandise.

I’m not sure what a power/membership/season ticket is but I doubt it would be to much different.

It will be interesting with China finally being profitable if the power declares a profit this year.

If we can get Daniel Menzel and keep Troy Menzel for the season, we may not need any recruits after signing the Kelly boys. I'm assuming Mathew Neagle and the Schiller brothers are still with us.
Both Schillers are staying,
Travis was leaving if someone else was staying.

Troy is staying and it appears likely Daniel will play IFFF he is not picked up.
Think Sam Milne should be counted as an IN for 2020 after spending a year O/s. He is as courageous as they come.

Either that or I know there is nothing to worry about.

The story in the paper alluded to centrals requesting a further $12k off a water bill.

As I stated on Facebook big deal.

Re: Olsen gone finally

It seems whenever a change is made at the SANFL , it is greeted with a negative discontent . Is it because most are just negative souls or do you actually know these people ? Is it always that bad ? Im trying to get some balance in this rather than just easy blame . Some of you may not understand this but a few might.

My skepticism stems from the fact that the job is now clearly seen as a stepping stone to AFL club Administration, as openly celebrated by the CEO and that the previous two holders of the position moved to the Power and Crows respectively, after overseeing what many believe to be more than generous concessions to the two SANFL based AFL Reserve Teams...

Show me someone who puts the SANFL first and doesn’t kowtow to the AFL clubs and I’ll be the first to pat them on the back.
