Re: Daily Golf - Where you are playing and how you go

Saturday Stableford 33 points

I was a little disappointed to be honest, my handicap has gone out to 5, thought i'd cash in and win all the skins with the boys, but just didn't do anything well!
In my eyes what makes the 33 points even worse was, i parred index 1,2 and 3 therfore 9 points right here.......

Sunday back in the Pennant team after 3 weeks off.

I won 8 and 6.
Total contrast to Saturday couldn't do a thing wrong!
Started- Par, Birdie, Par, Birdie, Par, Par - 5 up after 6 holes.

Good to see Docherty back on.

Cameron with his crap kick around the body shots on goal,  misses 2 goal turn around, Carlton back in the game since then

Re: Horse Racing Tips & Discussion

Sone better news from Racing SA

Update | Chelsey Reynolds

We are delighted to share some promising news from Chelsey’s family.
Her condition continues to slowly improve, and she will be moving out of intensive care and onto a ward in the coming days to continue her treatment at the Flinders Medical Centre.
On behalf of the entire racing community, we are keeping everything crossed for Chelsey and her road ahead.

Correct

Some other seriously good news happening that the family have kept private, but things are looking far better than a fortnight ago

Re: Trial Games

Salisbury North 14.8
Broadview 11.14

B/C Grade
Broadview 21.8
Salisbury North 17.10

Couple of decent games of footy, good crowd albeit a tad warm

I watched most of the A grade game. Pretty good contest.
When Broadview ran out i dead set thought it was an under 18 side! Bloody young. I’m assuming they had a few out? I know the 2 lads were out as Crows top ups for tomorrow.

Luke Habel will be an excellent addition at Salisbury North.

Re: AFL Round 1*

I seen better skills today at Broadview than the Suns v Crows game.

It needs Benny Hill music playing in the back ground.

Re: Daily Golf - Where you are playing and how you go

Hadnt had a hit for a while, 37 Points Saturday. I actually thought my whole game was solid. Score could've been a bit better as i didn't have great touch around the greens, but i'll take 37 points everyday of the week.

Re: PAFC 2024

This week Travis Boak plays his 350th AFL game joining Eddie Betts and Doug Hawkins on 350 games, equal 21st on the all time list. If he plays the rest of the year he'll be just outside top 10 all time games played.

He's had the most-ever disposals in AFL games played outside Victoria (6377)

Of the 214 other players Port has had play at AFL level, Travis has played a game with 147 of them.

Port Adelaide captain: 2013–2018
Port Adelaide AFL games record holder
3× All-Australian team: 2013, 2014, 2020
2× John Cahill Medal: 2011, 2019
3× Showdown Medal: 2013 (game 1), 2020, 2021 (game 1)
AFL Rising Star nominee: 2007

Whilst the above speaks for itself, i think Trav's best attribute and for mine speaks volumes of the guy is when the club was on is knees and the merry men from Geelong rolled into town sweatpants and all, on the hunt for Trav and offered the kitchen sink and he declined.

As i said the club was all sorts of strife, it would've been the easy option for Travis to head to Geelong, lets not forget he is a Torque boy, but he stood fat with Port on the back of them giving him the opportunity to play the game he loves.

Massive respect from me and i hope he plays a ripper in his well earnt 350th game, i can't think of many players i respect more than Travis Boak.

Re: Daily Golf - Where you are playing and how you go

Went out to play a quick 9 today as I wasn't happy how I hit them yesterday.

Course was bloody busy! I Get to the first tee 3 blokes waiting for a forth to pay, Hey Dutch you can go through if you like? No idea who it was, it turns out I use to play footy with him I reluctantly accept to go as I hadn’t had a swing in the practice net before going off which I like doing, any way I get up on the tee only to see the green keeper up next to the green I’m thinking F**k me what’s going on.

Anyway with a fair few eyes on me, 5iron pin 165m meters bounced 6ft short, then a second bounce bang hits the pin and drops my second ever hole in hole!

Swaggered off the tee like Mick Jagger just giving out high 5’s

Get up to the green and the super says ‘Nice ball’ No shit mate it’s in the hole! Lol :D

Re: Daily Golf - Where you are playing and how you go

Saturday Stableford 32 points.

Tee to green was good, actually off the tee i was really good, but approach shots were just 'ok' but always just on the edges of greens hence having 34 putts, yep 34!

i've always said, I shouldn't be having more than 27 id like to think i can 1 putt 9 holes.

Keen as for LIV this week
