Re: Things that give you the sh1ts

I think TSG is a bit of goose at times (sorry TSG)... but just because he's made a comment, which is not threatening, abusive or inappropriate on a moderators post, should he be threatened with a ban???

That's a bit precious if you ask me...

Though no one is so I'll get back in my box... :)

Re: Christmas

Have a bloody small family now (all the rest have passed away) so it's myself, Mrs Jase, Mini Jase, Micro Jase , my folks and the out laws at our place...

First Christmas in the new house so that will be good. I can just make lunch and have a few quite Amber Ales...

The junior Jases are getting an X box 360 so we'll be having a fair crack at that in the arvo...

Be safe my fellow SA Footy brethren....

Re: Predictions for 2014

Vomit the thought of an asterix team winning again makes me feel sick.
aren't carlton the original asterix team???

ERM I know its from Wikipedia but the salary cap was introduced in 1987 and

"In 1987, Sydney were fined the maximum of $60,000 and forfeited their first round pick in the National Draft after a VFL investigation found that they had exceeded the salary cap by $1.15 million during the season."

So that makes Sydney the original asterix team as they were the first...

Re: Best Golf Courses in South Australia

I used to be a member at TTG (while I was playing junior pennants there, so about 20 years ago) and had the privilege of playing at some of the best Metro and close surrounding courses ...

I rank these in this order...

1. Kooyonga
2. Grange East
3. Glenelg
4. TTG
5. Renmark CC
6. Flagstaff Hill
7. Riverside (or whatever it's called now)
8. Mt Lofty
9. Mt Osmond
10. Marino (or what ever it's called now, if it's even still there)
11. Highercombe (used to be a member there as well)

Also these were a couple of good "Country Courses"

12. The Blue Lake GC (I think that's what it's called in Mt Gambier)
13. Halls Gap GC (9 hole course, with Kangaroos everywhere and amazing scenery) (also not in SA but a good little course)

Re: EPL Season 2013/2014

lol ^^^

They have been asking that for 25 years ;)

When too many people are let into a ground where there were no seats, before full seater stadiums were mandatory, into an area which you couldn't swing a cat , then the fences are so high at the ground level to prevent fans running out the pitch during English footballs hooliganism era, a human crush occurred.

Google Bradford city fire also for another tragedy if you want to know about others

Looked the Bradford City one as part of a fire safety lecture at Uni. The stand was due to be demolished on the Monday as it was the last game of the season. Took a matter of minutes for the whole thing to go up in flames. Those that made the decision to escape onto the playing field had the better chance of surviving than those that chose to head out the way the came in....only to find locked gates as the first half of the game had begun.

My Uncle was there at Valley Parade that day, only suffered minor injuries, but received those while pulling people out of the fire. He (and a number of others) received Police commendations for their bravery...

56 people died that day and would have been Hundreds if Valley Parade had the same barriers fencing as Hillsborough...

That on the 11th of May 1985 56 fans went to a game of soccer and didn't go home due to a fire at Bradford City's home ground Valley Parade.

Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion (TV Spoilers, NO BOOK SPOILER

The stark kids will be getting some sh*t done next season.... I'll say it again, Arya Stark is quite possibly the coolest character in the show!!! Little champion... She's on her way to where Khalesi is, isn't she???

I always thought tyrion would escape, but didn't think he would do what he did...

Tjis show just keeps getting better...

Arya is going to Bravos, Khalesi is in Mereen...

Re: Soundwave 2015 Rumours...

I know this will be unpopular, but The Real Thing is my second least favourite Faith No More album, after We Care a Lot .

However, that is a ripper version of Zombie Eaters!

Each to their own, a lot of FNM fans love Angel Dust but of the four Patton albums I rate it comfortably their worst ;)

Exactly. To me, Angel Dust is comfortably their masterpiece, followed by:

- King For a Day... Fool For a Lifetime ,
- Introduce Yourself (I have a HUGE soft spot for Chuck Mosley),
- Album of the Year (there's a few ripping songs, but they played it reasonably safe),
- The Real Thing (still quite a solid album), and
- We Care a Lot (the potential was there, but the production was a big mess).
I would swap Album of the Year and Introduce Yourself and that would be my order...

I rate Jnr Jase and his Hip Hop Crew, Mayhem winning the silver medal in the Primary Small teams at the School Aerobics Nationals... it was an awesome effort by the kids and everyone associated with the team and school who were there absolutely lost their minds when the result was read out...

Super proud.

Also rate going to Movieworld today and having a great time with a number of the families from the school ...

Has been a great weekend. I love working at the school that we as a family (all 4 of us) either attend as students or work at... it is an amazing school, with awesome kids and staff...

Re: Asian Cup 2015
Ange The Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still not convinced, will take more than an Asian cup to hide the Brazil disaster.
Need to start beating some decent sides and I still dont believe guys playing A-League should get a game. Need to start getting more guys overseas in good leagues, Schwartzer was spot on by saying too many guys are happy just plodding along in Australia
What is this disaster you speak of in Brazil?
The World Cup, we were a shambles at times. Even the lead up to the Asian Cup was fairly poor. No Asian country ranked inside top 50 currently, when we start beating sides inside the top 30 ill start believing

We were never getting out of that group
I think you are being a bit harsh with disaster... it would have been a miracle to get out of that group and to play so brilliantly against the Dutch must have been seen as what it was... an amazing effort...

The team has been in a transition phase which we are now seeing the fruits of...

Surely you could see the plan that was in place?

Patience is a must...

Re: I need to know....

This is related to the Foo Fighters concert last night, but could be for any major sporting/concert event...

What is the point of getting absolutely sh1t faced at an event like this???? You're paying upwards of $100 for a concert ticket these days, and you're not going to remember it well anyway as your so smashed.

I also don't understand people going to the bars behind the grandstand and lining up for 40 minutes to get 4 beers during the show...

PLus the moron, who tried to bum rush the security guard at the Northern End while Rise Against were on, gets carted out by the Coppers...

Way to waste $100

I really don't understand... Can someone explain?

Maybe I'm just getting old, but when I was a young fella, cash was hard to come by, tickets were cheaper but still, I paid to see a show, not line up for beers etc..

Call me Grandpa Jase now...

Re: Live EPL Scores 2014/15

WOW Arsenal ahead of Liverpool and City, whats the reasoning there?
Just grew up hating them in the 80's and 90's. Wenger going to them didnt help.
Yes I dislike Liverpool but I respect them and consider them almost equals with us.
Funnily enough most United supporters dont hate Shiteh as much as people think mainly because until recently they were a insignificant pissant club never in the title hunt.
Leeds will always be number 1, pure scum

I doubt you will find anyone, who doesn't agree with you on that one...
