Re: Adelaide Crows 2020

There's a few Adelaide fans pushing for the club to intervene and get Kane to back off from the attacks on Walker, Cornes had another go at him yesterday on the Sunday Footy Show, it is bordering on bullying now, time for Kornes to back up.
He could just ignore it. Stop getting into it on Twitter with him.
Cornes would soon get sick of it if he wasn’t responding.

Re: I need to know....

If your bored of my house purchasing story just say and ill stop posting.

Only 24 hours after our $396 final offer was knocked back i got the phone call today from the agent saying the owners are now happy to accept $410. She added i shouldn't say this but if you can get a four in front of the offer even $400k i can get it for you today.

My response....'really appreciate the work your doing to help us with this house but im sorry the final offer is $396k'

The tables have turned, we now have her working for us fearing she isnt going to get a sale on this house.

Didn't expect the turnaround so quick.
If their now willing to take $400k, play the waiting game. It’s only another $4k, they obviously haven’t had a better offer & are possibly panicking.
You’ll get it for your price.

Re: Things that give you the sh1ts

Absolute f#ckwits I’ve dealt with today;
- moron tries to enter a lift as I’m coming* out, gets in a huff because I didn’t give way to him, I called him clueless & ignorant - wasn’t appreciated

- arse clown, mid thirties in the supermarket on his mobile not paying attention, runs into woman with his trolley. Gives her a fair shove, she’s visibly shaken. He barely looks back, I yell out that he needs to apologise & learn some respect. “And you’re going to show me?” he laughs. Here we go.
With this two shop employees converge with haste , they’re both big blokes. They pretty much order him to apologise or he can leave the his trolley right there & be escorted out of the shop. He told them to stick it & left. The woman was ok in the end.

- gutter pig two cars in front of me at the lights drops a coffee cup full of cigarette butts out his window, sped off when light went green

So many arseh*les, so few bullets...

Yep, played the Suns 3 months ago when they were crap, then got the Crows  & Freo. All bottom 4 sides. Now they get West Coast at a great time when they look slow & disinterested. Planets aligning, kissed on the dick, call it what you will.

Re: Things that you rate!

My 10 year old daughter has taken footy up again after having a couple of years off. Youngest daughter who’s 7 plays in the same team. First game yesterday at 8am away to Blackwood. Eldest handles the ball really well, kicks a lazy 4 & gives a few off in her return. The little one struggles in the first half to only get a handball against girls much bigger than she is but after some encouragement from their coach & dad at half time, comes out in the third quarter & joins that elite club of kicking a goal with your first kick in football.
To say the old man was a tad proud is an understatement.

Re: SANFL 2020 Season

Be great if we did away with draws, they really suck.

Yes totally agree.

2 qtrs of 5 mins each extra time. Then either 2nd extra qtr doesn't finish until a score wins the game or else set shots from 50m line until there is a winner.
I agree draws suck but totally disagree with extra time. You’ve had the best part of two hours to win the game, if you can’t do it in that time well...

Re: SANFL 2020 Season

MAL.

This from yesterdays paper.

A CONTROVERSIAL umpiring decision in the final minute cost South Adelaide a miraculous draw against premier Glenelg at Adelaide Oval on Sunday.

After producing a scintillating and brave comeback from 45 points behind at three-quarter-time to draw within six points, Panthers small forward Eamon Wilkinson was awarded a free kick for a push in the back by Tiger Michael Virgin in a marking contest on the edge of the goalsquare.

But unaware the free kick had been paid, Wilkinson then toe-poked the ball across the goal-line for a behind.

Rather than hand the ball back to Wilkinson, who would almost certainly have kicked the goal to tie the scores and complete South’s remarkable comeback, the field umpire called advantage play on, the behind stood and the stunned Tigers held on to win by five points, 15.7 (97) to 14.8 (92).

It was Glenelg’s second consecutive win by less than a goal to start the season after it beat Norwood by three points in Round 1.

Panthers coach Jarrad Wright blasted the decision to rob Wilkinson of a possible game-tying shot at goal, saying “he should have been given the free kick and a set shot’’.

“There was no advantage in that decision at all,’’ Wright said. “There was crowd noise, it was in the heat of the play and the ball goes through for a behind, there was no advantage play on whatsoever.

“It was a scrimmage, it wasn’t like someone grabbed the ball, played on and took two bounces before having a shot at goal. It should have been called back and been a set shot at goal, so it was disappointing for the game to end that way.’’

Wright said Wilkinson had told him he didn’t know he had been awarded the free when he soccered the ball through. The controversial end came after Glenelg – inspired by last year’s Magarey Medallist Luke Partington dominating with 34 disposals and three goals – powered to a 45-point lead at the final change.

With Jack Oatey Medallist Matthew Snook (29 disposals) and fellow midfielder Marlon Motlop (25 and two goals) also starring, the Tigers looked to be making a statement they were the team to beat again this year. But the gritty Panthers came storming back. They kicked seven goals to one in the final stanza to draw to within six points 26 minutes into the term before the gamedeciding Wilkinson decision.

Glenelg captain Max Proud, playing his 100th game, said his team was relieved to get the points but the late collapse had left the players feeling “very empty’’.

“We played really well for three quarters and probably should have put the foot on the throat but we went away from doing the things we are good at and nearly paid a big price,’’ he said. “It certainly gives us plenty to work on.’’

Convenient to focus on the last free kick & not the bewildering decisions/non decisions that helped South get back in the game.

Do Glenelg unfurl or wait one more?

Waiting until COVID restrictions (hopefully) ease & we can get a good crowd.
Such a shame there were restrictions this week, nothing would have thrilled me more than watching Glenelg unfurl their flag at the Bay on Saturday.
Obviously couldn’t do it against Port but your lot would’ve been the next best thing...

Villa could stay up. Would have got long odds on that a week ago.

17th - Aston Villa 34 pts, gd -27
——————————————-
18th - Watford 34 pts, gd -28
19th - Bournemouth 31 pts, gd -27
20th - Norwich - relegated

Bloody tight
Villa have West Ham away
Watford have Arsenal away
Bournemouth have Everton away

I think the Villains will stay up.

Re: AFL 2020 Season

So, one for the conspiracy theorists out there.
The original dates for the 2020 Olympics was July 23 (tomorrow) until August 8.
And now, in almost the exact same time frame, the AFL announces it will play 33 games of footy over the next 20 days.
I’m guessing channel 7 has booked out or sold off massive amounts of advertising time slots but with less people watching with the Olympics being put back, they have asked the AFL for assistance.
Hence the 33 games on consecutive nights over 20 days.
Coincidence or not?

*Not thought up by yours truly, sent to me last night.

What do you think of your injury management at the Roos this year? To this non-Roo it appears they brought back Cunners and Zeibell a bit before they were ready and maybe they have done the same to Simpkin?

regards,

REB
Ziebell was 100% ready to go, wanted to play the week before but was held back.
Simpkin, after injuring himself, still played out last weeks game as no further damage could be done.
The Cunnington situation was full of panic, desperation and was downright embarrassing as a club member.
