Re: CDFC 2023

Dogs have officially announced their 9th recruit, Kade Dittmar.
He is a 20yo 188cm mid/defender who has played 2 seasons of regular league with Esat Perth.

Potentially 7 out of 9 of the newbees could play league in round one.
The two new talls are the least likely, with both being brought in as longer term propositions whilst they develop (with Pickering) under Buckets' guidance.

Selectors will have a nice challenge in fitting the new lads into the 22, considering our strong finish. They also have Ethan East to add.

From our last named side, only 3 are forced outs (Dahms, Hoskin and Linke). The squeeze is on.
Reasonably happy with recruiting so far.
Still disappointing that we haven't picked up a good key forward or a ready to play league footy ruckman.

They’re tough to find, mate…

Randwick r5 - 3 currently around $2.60.
Long way off the $4.20 last night, there will be deductions on that.
On the drift and it's a bet
And no joy there.

Not enjoying the way Kenso is playing today to be honest.

Re: Things that give you the sh1ts

My shit gives me the shits.

This morning I attempted to collect a stool sample for the bowel cancer screening kit which periodically appears in the letterbox of us old farts. For you youngsters out there, this involves putting a sheet of paper (supplied in the kit) in the dunny bowl, crapping on it, then rubbing a stick (also supplied) on the turd before the lot is flushed.

So - I unfold the paper catcher and place it in the bowl. Drop strides, assume position, open the bomb bay doors and drop a load. Turn around with collection stick in hand - and find that my turd has punched a hole through the paper and dropped straight into the swimming pool.

Sigh.

Next time: Drop strides and lay it on the lawn, get your swab, hose ya bum down, get up and kick your feet back 3-5 times, pick up the deposit and drop it in the neighbours bin on bin night.

What are you doing posting at this time?

AR 5 # 3, Garrire
Should’ve won first up, apprentice couldn’t control it coming around the home turn, lost countless lengths. Flashes home for fourth beaten a length.
Same grade, senior jockey aboard today - $4.60 looks generous.

I’m hoping the extra distance is the key. I took $4.20 last night but I see that’s gone now, into $3.50.

Re: North Melbourne

North have sacked him.

Better late than never, I guess
*sigh* Hindsight’s a wonderful thing.

The club have done all they can, could not have supported Thomas anymore. Behavioural programs, counselling, courses etc. Ignored the outside noise & did what they thought best for player & club.
But if you’re not going to help yourself, learn from your mistakes, if you’re going to continue with abhorrent behaviour towards women, pissing numerous chances up the wall - see ya later. Don’t need this shit at my club, a club with a lot of young blokes who should be looking up to Thomas.
I hope he can turn his life around however my main concern is for my club but more so those he’s offended against, I hope they get the support they need. Not looking forward to explaining this to my youngest daughter who is North through & through, Thomas being one of her favourite players.

Re: What The F***

It doesn’t bother me what time they arrive as long as I get my package, our area get this all the time (lady across the road is a shopaholic). My son had a parcel delivered at 11:37pm once.

Not suggesting that Spargo was complaining at the time just more surprised

I just think 8:30 at night is too late to be ringing someone’s doorbell with a delivery. What if you had a baby or young kids in bed? I’d be rotten with them being woken up.

Scone race 8 # 13 - Moskeeta
Never gave them a look in last start leading all the way for a comfortable win. Can handle the wet ground, drawn the inside so should lead with ease & hopefully give them something to catch again. Up in grade but the $34 & $7 looks far too juicy to ignore.

I’m not sure what else he could do? Is he expected to pull out of the contest at the last moment?

Eyes were on the ball the whole time. Cunningham contributed just as much as him IMO
His eyes were not on the ball the whole time. Don’t take your eyes off the ball, don’t turn to brace, go for the mark the whole time. Get to the contest first. No attempt to mark or spoil.
I’m staggered people don’t get this.
