Re: Restaurant & Pub Reviews

Give yourself a good night out and head to the Lighthouse Wharf at the Port. Meals are sensational plus a huge selection of craft beers. 9.5/10

Re: BLCA 2016-17

Amazing effort from Angaston to win both the A1’s and A2’s yet again

Absolutely Jim, completendomination by the 2s 336 to 78 in a year where it looked like they maybe challenged and the 1s undefeated all year defending 154. Couldnt have beaten a nicer bunch of blokes.
Thats 4 A Grade in a row and 4 in the last 5 in 2s including the last 3 in a row.
Cant see it ending anytime soon, up to the other clubs to get up to our level

The nicer bunch of blokes were seen in the changerooms having a beer with your victorious A1s, maybe they are the nice ones and it's you that everyone dislikes......just asking

This is what crickets all about. I don’t think I’ve seen a couple blokes like Brett Burgess And Graser go as hard at each other as they both did on the weekend but then I see a photo of them sitting next to each other enjoying a beer and apparently joking about all that was said out on the ground. It was a great final and both teams conducted themselves extremely well.
Special mention to David Golder who took 6 wickets and was fighting hard with the bat at the end and was Not Out.

Also to Lachlan Lade in the 2’s to make 170 not out and pretty much bat all day is an absolute amazing effort.

Brett has always been a white line fever cricket player, but off the field is a champion bloke.

Re: Your poison of choice?

Thought Furphy's Refreshing Ale was rubbish.

Really enjoying NEIPA style beers at the moment. Jedi Juice the pick of them.

still havent tried the Jedi Juice yet, but every beer nerd i know is fapping over it, so still keen to try it Sells out quick once it hits the shelves. When I was in Melbourne in Feb I bought a freshly tinned slab back with me.

Get on it BennyMacca, i have a few on my fridge.

Re: I need to know....

Anyone know of any good supermarkets that have a good range of cheeses

You're going to need mettwurst (at least 2 types), olives (kalamata, pitted, no green shit) , sundried tomato ( drained from the oil, please ) and crackers while you're there.

Definitely mate! Mettwurst, kabana, dill cucumbers, crackers, olives and tomatoes (to keep the GF happy), strawberries all on the list.
Might give Mawson Lakes a look, cheers all!

Re: BLCA 2016-17

Can't wait for the Knightys writeup in the Bunyip after South lost outright after a 120 run first innings lead.
Always start to see a few generous declarations this time of year
How many overs did they allow them?

I wonder if it's a typo in the Kapunda game, Kym Jarman 9 overs, 5 maidens, 41 runs.

South 229
Freeling 109
South 1/26 Dec
Freeling 7/147 off 24.3 overs

Re: Country footy - Streaming

There are usually 2 RMFL games live streamed each week (1 by the League; 1 unofficially).

Any other leagues doing regular streaming of minor round games this year?

Edit - I wasnt sure if GSFL still streamed a game each week, but it looks like they are - https://www.radio901.com.au )

In the BL&G, one game is live streamed every week with commentary and the other 3 games are uploaded in the day or two after. Ive seen it on facebook, the SA Footballer or something like that, im sure others here are all over it

Yeah one match is live streamed on the SA Footballer Facebook page with commentary each weekend and then the other 3 games are uploaded to YouTube on either Sunday or Monday.... it's bloody awesome

Re: Carlton

F*** the rebuild, they've doing that since Jesus played half back for Jerusalem, they need to do what Collingwood did and give some mature age players a lifeline.
Collingwood's recruiting has been better than anyone's over the past few years, sometimes you bang a few pigs to get to a princess but the proof is in the pudding now with some players that have returned the faith.

Adams
Aish
Crisp
Dunn
Greenwood
Hoskin-Elliott
Howe
Mayne
Treloar
Varcoe
Wells

A bit hit and miss, some inconsistency and injuries but overall they've been up and about and are probably the 2nd best side atm.

If Carlton could follow a similar plan they could at least get off the bottom for now and let there young lads develop naturally instead of continually being thrown in the deep end.

How can the div1 gf not be on live score……Mickey mouse.

No one from Westies could break into someone's house and steal a laptop maybe lol
Mrs Pogas usually does it for AV, strange.

Most comps the standard is to stream the main grand final….can’t even get a live score of this one.
