Re: 2013 Brownlow Bets

No surprise the AFL's bed buddies polled the most votes to win easy with 95 votes

Let me guess. Sydney?

You will notice none who got a vote at Sydney were ineligible also. Hey. Favoritism.

Yeah i did notice that, you blokes are going to be hit hard when the AFL doesn't need you anymore and they jump into bed with GWS

Okay let's narrow it down - by lesser clubs I really mean Woodville - West Torrens Eagles, Peckers, Warriors!

Re: Adelaide Crows Reserves 2014

What you guys seem to be missing is what is best for the players, not what is best for your selfish attitudes, or the selfish attitudes of the sanfl clubs for that matter.

I would rather see any centrals player playing the highest level, or giving themselves the greatest chance of personal development.

So for younger players that means playing in the AFL environment year round - I think it's a no brainier that this is a good thing for them.

For someone like nutta, opportunity to captain as well as development and coaching roles make it a no brainier for him too. So good luck to him I reckon

I think what has everyone up in arms is that for the first time the paradigm shift that happened 22 years ago is finally codified - the SANFL is primarily a breeding ground for AFL players. I, for one, don't think this is a bad thing, and I don't think it diminishes the importance or the integrity of the league either. It's just different. Once the season is underway I think it will be business as usual, save for the inevitable "OMG the crows reserves are top/bottom"

Re: Test Squad for South African Tour - predictions & discus

The Aussies will be playing the first test in a South Australian State Guernsey out of respect for Clem Hill who played both Test Cricket and State football for SA.

Clem averaged 62.66 against South Africa in Tests, and this will be a fitting tribute to a legend.

Also heard that all players in tonight BBL final will receive a Baggy Green to honour the greats that have played test cricket for Australia. Seems legit.

hilarious

Re: Port's Six SANFL Guernsey Designs

Crows supporters arguing with Power supporters over history would be like a 2 year old and a 3 year old arguing over quantum physics.

oh yeh because we follow the PAFC we automatically know nothing about history.
Correct!
Seem to remember 1989 but not 1905. ;)
On the topic of guerneys why don't Port ever bring out their guernsey that had rose pink in it?

yep because if I remembered 1905 that would make me 109 years old.
Reading isn't that difficult.
So history only count when you remember it?
Thanks for proving correct my original statement perfectly.

Re: Things that make you laugh

I don't agree with trafficking drugs over international borders. Plenty of evidence to suggest schappelle was about to be paid for an interview. Channel 7 were staying in the same hotel.

Hope she goes back to jail.

Channel 7 were financing HER stay in the hotel. Thats why she moved out after they were done with the interview.

The AFP raided Channel 7 to make sure the Corbys wouldn't profit from the notoriety of the crime.

Her and her dumb **** family were told she can't speak ill of the Indonesian judicial system, and if she did, she would breach the terms of her parole. All she did was get her sister to say exactly what she would've said, which in my view is pushing it.

The Indonesians have said the Corbys should be grateful and show some appreciation for the gift of freedom they have given her. And all she's doing is rubbing it in their faces.

Anyone with half a brain would lay low, blend in and wait out the 3 years. Then they would come back to Australia, write a book, and make some money.

Lyon bowling full tosses. Bring on Smith. At least he can turn the ball.

Lyon seems to be the type of bowler that is at his best when the batsmen go after him, but doesn't have enough tricks in the bag to get them out when they are defending, especially on pitches that don't give him any bounce, which seems to be his main weapon

I'm with Sleepy on this one
Get the right record player, amps speakers etc , the sound is better than CDs
On a built in speaker el cheapo record player the sound is not as good
I've reconstructed an old JVC player , the sound is a gas man

Mainly use CDs in the car
Always use the record player at home

Re: Trial Game Week 2 Discussion

To say the least, a bit unfair on Topsy. Hardly the biggest fan of all that has transpired out there of late.

Joe's cut and run, voting yes then resigning, doesn't really need commenting on. His actions speak for themselves.

What sh*ts me to tears more than anything is that there'll be no washback for the gutless hacks that sit on the SANFL Boards and on the Commission. By the time their insane decision has reached the endpoint, the effective death of the SANFL, they'll all be gone.

I had one animated discussion with a noted Norwood advertising shill who sits on the Commission who simply couldn't have been more pleased with himself about what he and his cronies had forced through. That he couldn't answer the simple question about how he expected the SANFL clubs to attract members under the age of forty from now on says everything.
