Re: Golf equipment: sticks, balls etc. what do you use and w

Picked up an Odyssey Dart long putter over the weekend. Just finished my first round with it.

Definitely going to take some time to get used to a long putter, found it difficult to control distance on longer putts (I suck at them anyway) but anything within a few metres it was really good.
Felt more confident than ever walking up to any putt within a few metres.

My source tells me that the clearance is already in the works, hefty transfer fee being paid to the bombers from the donnybrooks.

Expect the ink to be dry on the contract within hours.

Re: Poker

New location of pokerzone is horrible, but I've been crushing since it moved in the few sessions I've put in so I can deal with it for now.

Adelaide Casino is still horrendous in terms of opening hours, rules, the competency of staff...well everything actually.

Re: EPL Season 2014/2015

It's Carroll's ankle that he's done. Speaking to one of the owners (David Gold) down here in NZ, he says four months.

I hate big Sam as much as anyone, but from watching the two games here and trainings, it's the players that deserve a rocket and fans a refund.

There has been absolutely zero effort from anyone, even Noble who's game is based on work rate didn't track back or push forward in any game.

Training was a joke compared to Newcastles, with half our team sitting down watching the others go about it.

The lads were here on holiday, nothing more. Which is a pretty dangerous thing to do with the season so close.

I am worried.

Re: EPL Season 2014/2015

Sam had some Bolton sides playing some delightful stuff.

He just needs time to build his team at clubs like ours. Keep us up any way possible and build from that.

I love the way his using Carlton cole and Kevin Nolan at the moment and for one of the few times in my 30 years West Ham have some serious depth, except the centre back position

Agreed. Nolan is a great impact sub.

And yeah, need a fourth CB pretty bad, Reece Burke probably isn't quite ready to be that guy yet. But he and Oxford (if he stays) are going to be great CB's soon.
Need to get Reid signed on soon too.

I guess we have to give the south boys some props for getting a game up today. Did a good job on the leaf blowers and brooms to get the pitch somewhat safe to play on (Debatable).

They were also nice enough to give us all the points when we happily would have shared, so that was nice of them [emoji1]

Indeed.
Haven't been this excited for a season to start in a long time. New manager, decent signing to start what should be a good window, everyone fit again. European football etc.

Just know it's our way that come last game of the season we'll be saying farewell to the Boleyn as we head to the OS in the championship as everything has gone completely tits up as only it can at West Ham.

Re: Confirmed Transfers - 2015/2016 EPL Season

West Ham have signed Dimtri Payet from Marsielle

Apparently had the most assists in the French first division last year

Pretty pumped with our two signings so far

Payet not confirmed yet. All but though.

Sullys lad was on Twitter last night saying there was multiple players undergoing medicals. Payet and Song believed to be the two.

Pretty good hammers source on Twitter also said that once those two are done, all attentions go to Cabaye and Remy. Jenkinson will be sorted too now the U21's have been knocked out.

Be a pretty epic window for the hammers if all those deals come off.

Re: Restaurant & Pub Reviews

Nordburger have added to their menu, including breakfast (which I'm yet to try).

The new Royale burger is a solid 8/10. Tasty and juicy and well held together. Not much different to the Bacon-Double, which is also a winner, so I can see why they went with a successful formula.

The Crinkle Cut Royale Chips are ******* amazing - 9.5/10.

I just moved a few 100m up the road from a Nord. Will have to check that out. Nord is usually pretty good.

Will have to be amazing for me to stop driving to 127 for my burger fixes though.

Re: EPL Season 2015/2016

I like Amalfitano, but he's a loose cannon and if Bilic doesn't want him around the squad that's good enough for me.
Zarate for me is an incredibly lazy hog who plays only for himself.
If he learnt to pass he could be anything. Wouldn't be sad to see him go or stay tbh. Unless he kicks up a stink and causes problems staying and not playing.

As for our best team, yeah **** knows. But what a good problem to have. Apart from left and right back. We have really good depth all over the pitch. (Randolph sure silenced some doubters including myself)

I'd probably go

Adrian
Jenkinson Tomkins Reid Cresswell
Noble Song
Moses Payet Lanzini
Sakho.

That leaves a second team of

Randolph
O'Brien Collins Oxford Ogbonna
Obiang Kouyate
Antonio Zarate Valencia
Carroll

And shit, we've put out infinitely worst first 11s than that in very recent times.

I think Noble has always been thought of as a defensive mid. And he's not. Hence the poor challenges. If he plays further up the pitch he's one of, if not the best passer in our side (when he plays within himself and doesn't Hollywood too much) and I'm a sucker for the fact he walked home from his debut at UP so having as homegrown a hammer as you can get in the side is something I love.

Re: EPL Season 2015/2016

Great win by the Hammers! Highlights on the TV news and everything.
I think our goal difference is now the second best in the league at 11-6. I also don't ever remember us being as high as fifth after the first couple of rounds. I think in the early nineties we started top after a good first up win and then sunk to our usual mid table spot.
I missed a lot of soccer with the virtual non coverage of English premier league in Japan, so what's West Ham's best finish for a season? Also can anyone remember us being this high after 5 rounds?

86 we finished third and had a chance to win the league. Those boys still talk about how they let that one slip.

Last year we were fourth at Christmas.

Crows 2015

Players who are under contract or restricted free really shouldn't have any final say in where they end up via a trade. (If RFAs have offer sheets matched)

Only unrestricted free agents should have that right to pick their employer.

This current system of players being able to tell clubs who they must deal with is an absolute joke.

Re: Restaurant & Pub Reviews

Anyone tried the new burger place on Semaphore Road, near Copenhagen? It's called Barrys.

Went there a week or so ago.

Was tasty. Small burger though. But only been there once and ordered their cheese burger cos it had Camembert and I love that stuff.

Sweet potato chips were good, but standard burger joint SP chips.

They do mention on the menu to add extras to burger if you have a big appetite, not sure the costs on that, could add up quick. But then their other burgers could be bigger than the one I got too.

Worth a look out of curiosity anyway, at least that's what I did.
