Re: Abbott/Liberal Govt Watch

God save Aus…and us!!

Tony Abbott asks the Queen, "Your Majesty, how do you run such an efficient government?
Are there any tips you can give me?"

"Well," said the Queen,

"The most important thing is to surround yourself with intelligent people."

Abbott then asked,

"But how do I know if the people around me are really intelligent?"

The Queen took a sip of champagne.

"Oh, that's easy; you just ask them to answer an intelligent riddle, watch"
The Queen pushed a button on her intercom.
"Please send Prince Charles in here, would you?"

Prince Charles walked into the room and said,
"Yes, Mummy?"

The Queen smiled and said,

"Answer me this please Charlie.
Your mother and father have a child.
It is not your brother and it is not your sister.
Who is it?"

Without pausing for a moment, Prince Charles answered

"That would be me."

"Yes! Very good." said the Queen.

Tony Abbott went back home to Australia by Qantas

He decided to ask Joe Hockey the same question.
"Joe, answer this for me."

"Your mother and your father have a child.
It's not your brother and it's not your sister.
Who is it?"

"I'm not sure," said Hockey.

"Let me get back to you on that one."
He went to his advisors and asked everyone, but none could give him an answer.

Frustrated, Hockey went to the toilet, and found Clive Palmer there.

Joe Hockey went up to him and asked,
"Hey Clive, see if you can answer this question."
"Shoot Joe."
Your mother and father have a child and it's not your brother or your sister.
Who is it?"

Clive Palmer answered,

"That's easy, it's me!"

Joe Hockey grinned, and said, "Good answer Clive, I see it all now!"

Joe Hockey then, went back to find Tony Abbott.
"Tony, I did some research, and I have the answer to that riddle."

"It's Clive Palmer"

Tony Abbott got up, stomped over to Joe Hockey, and angrily yelled into his face,

"No! You bloody idiot! It's Prince Charles!"

my understanding is he said no to coaching this year anywhere, but that must have changed when walsh got the job, so he is just doing what he can. still a great pickup by the crows

Yep said no because he is more interested in his study. The crows offered him a part time role, no club in the right mind would offer anyone a part time role thats more interested in study then football. He would be a good pick up if he was fully committed to the job and working full time with the club and players. This is just another stuff up by the clowns at west lakes.

Re: R7: North v Adelaide - Sunday 8 May @ Prospect Oval

Ravens are an average outfit. There's a couple of really tall players who are about as useless as a hip pocket on a singlet. Would've sworn they played their first ever Australian rules match this afternoon. Perhaps some of their fans can confirm for me once the wild celebrations have died down at West Lakes.

Anyone got a crowd figure? I say less than a thousand. Reckon today be my last hurrah in watching these farcical 'matches'. I just can' t be f**ked anymore.

Re: R17 - Glenelg v Norwood @ Glenelg Sunday

We should never have been in a position for an umpire to decide a match.
But the last two bullshit frees to Rioli sadly highlight the standard of umpiring in the SANFL.
I'm devastated by the result, but I might be more devastated by my realisation the SANFL is dying.

That's the worst crowd number I've ever been a part of. Somehow the numbers will be fudged to save the SANFL from total embarrassment but the 938 at Noarlunga puts this crowd to shame. 800 if lucky.
Norwood's front running fans given up and Glenelg supporters knowing their club is on death's door not bothering to turn up.
Sad situation all round.

Re: GRAND FINAL SYDNEY VS WESTERN BULLDOGS

You'd have to think Sydney would be sitting back loving all this Bulldogs love. I too like the Dogs and love the story but I can't help but think Longmire would be rubbing his hands together and almost using it to get his blokes up even more.

Sit back and let the Dogs have the lime light then go bang!

Spot on, this is perfect for the Swans....they know that all attention will be in the dogs this week and will thrive on it.

While I hope the Dogs win, I can see the Swans opening them up early and it being over.

Swans deserve the flag, of all the contenders they have been the most consistent all year.

not sure that a side that has been beaten by Richmond this year, really deserves the flag :D GO BULLDOGS

There's a 400 page thread dedicated to this. Can we please keep this in there so we can have conversations about the games. I get it, it's been 4 years and you will still be bitter in 40 years. I'm still filthy Scott and Chalene left Ramsay street but I don't throw the toys out the cot every time Neighbours comes on.

OK gotta go I'm off to catch my flight on the Queensland and Northern Territory Airline Service.....What's that you say?
Q.A.N.T.A.S.....Still don't know whatim talking about
Qantas

Yes names, logos and identities evolve over time.

It started in 1990 when a SA team entered the AFL and change has occurred.

Personally I have no issue with people wanting the AFL Reserves out but we finally have a few threads that don't get hijacked by the anti establishments. It would be great if that could continue and posts like yours above could not infect football or game related threads.

Re: Round 19, predictions, live scores, shit canning & resul

Very true and funny from Titus O'Reily

It seems unfair that the Geelong Football Club has to play this week, considering they’ve had the greatest injustice in the history of time just occur at their club.

Oh, the crying in Victoria from the media has been something to behold. At first, I thought Patrick Dangerfield had passed away, but it turns out he’s just been suspended.

In fact, some research has revealed it was Matthew Kreuzer who was the player that required medical treatment. An argument I guess could be made the Kreuzer was the victim in this situation but I guess a medal is a bit more important than someone’s brain.

It does mean we get to see the Cats without Patrick Dangerfield, which is like seeing Queen without Freddie Mercury, which weirdly, some people do.

While losing Dangerfield is a big loss, on the plus side for them, Sydney will be without Josh Kennedy.

The bad news doesn’t stop there for the Swans, Kurt Tippet is back in the side this week too.
