Think you will find that most clubs have 2 logos on the back of their jumpers. Not sure why Sturt have been singled out here. West have just as much if not more, Glenelg have ruined their traditional jumper by desecrating the gold sash for their major sponsor and Port would add more logos if-

a) They could find more sponsors,
b) They minimise the prison bars

Both scenarios highly unlikely ;)

Uhuh didn't mention sturt was making a general statement, my club incuded.

The reference to Sturt being singled out was directed at the original post on this thread, not to you. I quoted you because you mentioned 2 logos on the back of the jumper :)

would be great if it was like American sport- no logos.

definitely, i wonder how much it would cost each club if they made that as a rule

American clubs seem to survive ok.
EPL clubs manage to survive with 1 sponsor also...

What, if any, restrictions are in place when it comes to sponsors logo's on guernseys?

I just looked at some of Voices pictures of the Sturt one and they appear to be plastered from top to bottom, back and front. What are the rules?

3 on the front and 2 on the back of the jumper is hardly a plastering

I only mentioned Sturt as their's was the one I noticed most in the pictures I looked at, nothing against them as such.

You really think 3 on the front with the SANFL logo and club emblem ( yes, I know and agree, they have to be there ) making a total of 5 and then the two in the back plus the number ( once again I know, I know ) making 4, this means some clubs have up to 9 markings on their guernsey. You dont think that is excessive? ( SANFL, club and numbers are a must, obviously ).

There is a size restriction of front badge max 8x8cms and large 28cms x 9cms max for back logo, Never used to be able to have logo above number, they are supposed to be 27.5 cms but that has been removed. Same size large front logo under the V neck.
The SANFL have allowed this to get out of control, now becoming a walking advertisement with logos all over them. The SAAFL have the correct idea, maximum 2 0n the front and 1 on the back under the number!

Thanks mate. A sensible answer and one that agrees with my sentiments. Way too much advertising on them in 2010.

Agreed with the SAAFL rule. The numbers on Sturt's back of jumper are way too low to make room for a sponsor. They have no choice though as getting sole major sponsors is difficult in the SANFL these days.
