The Sturt Football Club is pleased to announce four new players that have signed with the club for Season 2007
PETER WEIR, is from Rainbow in Country Victoria, Peter played with the Ballarat Rebels and the Ballarat Football Club in 2006, Peter is a key position player who can play forward or back he is 17 years old but stands at 193cm tall.
DANE AVERY played with the Bendigo Pioneers in the TAC Cup under 18’s competition in 2006 he is formerly from South Mildura FC. Dane is moving to South Australia for University and has signed to play with Sturt for the next two years. Dane is 190cm, 80kg; he has played in many positions with Bendigo but does prefer HBF or HFF.
STEPHEN BROOKS, Ex Central District player, Stephen played 11 senior games over five years at Centrals, he is 195 cm and can play in a key position forward or back we look forward to Stephen playing some good senior football for us in 2007.
JOEL FITZGERALD, is from the West Coast he played with Cummins Ramblers in 2006, he is regarded as one of the best players in the State Country Competition, Joel is a straight at the ball type player who loves kicking goals.
The Senior training squad is currently training on Monday, Wednesday’s and Friday’s with an early Saturday morning run at various locations please contact the club to confirm training venues on 8271 4611 all supporters are welcome to attend trainings at any time.
