Apparantley Subiaco are the exception to the rule, very wealthy club and to add to that they have business/sponsor connections in South Africa.

In reality they are only wealthy because of being the owner/tenants of Subiaco Oval and when the Eagles and later the Dockers came into existence they signed very good on going deals with the WAFL Commssion so they are on a good wicket with the obvious returns they would be getting.

I think Subiaco FC has an allocation of Subiaco seats which they can sell for AFL games, hence the stronger balance sheet.

It's true however that the whole WAFL comp is broke.

I see the WC Eagles passed back around $2M out of their $4M profit this year. I wonder what the WA Football Commission will do with that?
