He was a good substitute teacher though scoop- we never did a thing with 'Gats' in charge!

South have had a few doozies- Rodney Campbell?

Funny how all the dud recruits were fringe AFL players. The Eagles went through this in mid-90's too, before working out. like Centrals, that there is more value in country/VFL players aspiring to SANFL footy rather than those coming down to the "next best comp". Obviously this is a general statement, and some AFL recruits have been excellent for there clubs. All comes down to the persons character. Mind you, there are some fairly reasonable names mentioned on this thread.

For those that can remember. John Hayes was a pretty useless import from WA to Westies in the 70s, under Fos Williams. Even believe there was a bit of scuffle at training due to his high profile but useless input. Syd Jackson also a lemon when he came to Bays with Big Nick. Another ex Carlton boy Rod Galt sucked a few dollars out of Torrens.

Something like that. Used to wear one yellow sock and one red one when he trained at Carlton. Always looked lazy and disinterested.
