What about Gawler? Even though Centrals underage sides are full of Gawlerites, i think the town is plenty big enough to accomodate a sanfl team.

It should be an even number of teams - 8 or 10. Until all the current 9 SANFL clubs can prove they can survive financially any talk of 10 teams is premature. Geographically, it would be madness to undo the W-WT merger. If there is ever a 10th team again, I think it should come from Adelaide but in a new geographic area

Add a team from Mount Gambier and lure players from accross the border.
Assuming you can fly a team to Mt Gamb though cos a 6 hour bus trip would be carp.

Gawler were one of the original teams that made up the SANFL in 1876, maybe they would have a case for re-admission?

Tasmania. NT footy season is the opposite of our own, so there is a whole logistical can of worms assiciated with aking them change their entire footy season. There isn't a regional area that has the facilities, population or corporate might to support a team long term for my liking. As for people complaining about paying air fares, the games against a new team would just take up the bye. It's not as if you'll be losing games in Adelaide, but you'll be gaining an extra game at least each season at home. Besides, I think it would be a fairly popular trip over there once a year, especially if the SANFL and the clubs can arrange a deal to cut the price. I would have thought with league players, reserves (?) and officials flying to and back each week they would be needing to make some sort of deal with Virgin to make it cheaper. It does also beg the question of under age and reserves competitions. Would a new team commit to all 4 comps? suddenly you're talking about more than 100 people having to fly each game.
