whilst I have no issue with the lights at Elizabeth, they are not up to the standard of Adelaide Oval, which is to be expected.

Great atmosphere at the game. Didn't see any trouble at all. dash61, your initial post is obviously inflammatory and inaccurate.
So two Roosters fans had a fight. Big deal. Maybe stick to football originated threads instead of bulldust.

I was on the eastern side centre wing a very well behaved crowd ,The only odd hapening was the flair at the southern end.
As far as emenities I sent my 16 yr old off to the chew & spew shop and even he being a big lad I must admit I started to worry when he had gone a while because of the large line ups,I guess it was a hard job to predict the crowd.
The lights are a bit too low.

Peace prevailed at the Ponderosa on Saturday night, except for the clowns that let off the obligatory flare behind the southern goals.

Gee mate I have got to take ya to task on that one.I would love to have night home games at Prospect and am jealous that Centrals and Norwood can but the lights are atrocious.A standard long kick goes up and the ball changes colour as it clears the lights and returns on the way down.To compare them with Adelaide oval is sheer madness but I admire your loyalty. Not being able to identify players on the other side of the ground(yes I know Elizabeth is big) due to the lighting is just not good enough.I also believe Norwoods are substandard .Yes I'm jealous but I also think that our league deserves night games to be played in tv coverage adequate lighting not just as a tool for a few extra butts on seats. If it cant be done properly then dont do it at all.Kilburn oval has better lights than Elizabeth and Norwood

And no other clubs supporters know each other?

I'm certainly not saying that. What i'm saying is that the Elizabeth community feeling is strong - due to the way the community was developed and the way that the community continues to get kicked in the guts from outsiders. Hence - there's a very strong feel of people catching up and enjoying the social event, as well as the football.

All clubs have them, the only people I've see dragged out of a game by the boys in blue before the ressies finished was 2 doggies supporters at Prospect a few years back, after they beat the crap out of each other.

You have an absurd statement of your own there RW - Kilburn is apporximately 50% of Elizabeth oval lights and not superior (you were close though).

I am sure North would not have come back quietly if they had any troubles with the lights after last years game, so perhaps the silence from all clubs who have played there is a better indication of the quality of lights?

As for not being able to see the other side of the ground, try http://www.opsm.com.au

I suggest that arrangements are made at ovals so that North supports are all kept separate from each other especially at games where the chickens have got a coach - which will obviously upset their follows because they havn't had one for a few years!
