I think the "Football in the 1870s" flyers will be very interesting indeed.

So if South are going to celebrate the 1870's, then what are the chances of Port Adelaide donning their very first jumper?

For heritage round I would love to see South play Port on the basis that both are the surviving teams from the begining of the SANFL. With Port also wearing an original guernsey, that could be a great event!

Phil Herden's doing a great job and has really got stuck in proactively and with lot's of lateral thinking in his new role. I was also suprised to hear him giving a halftime summary on RPH from Alberton last Saturday. Maybe RPH realise that they have let a great commentator go despite his match day commitments - there are plenty of games played on other days that don't clash with South games. Bring him back.

Sorry about this Drebin but apparently RPH checked the possibility of bringing Phil back on with Trevor Hill and he's said no.

I am tipping that Life FM are not going to let him slip away quite that easily! My main concern is another SANFL club attempting to pick him off to do the role for more $$$ at their club!

Thanks topsy - well given the story I heard as to how he left RPH then maybe he wouldn't want to go back. RPH were fools in letting him go but thir loss is Life FM's gain.
