i actually sat in a commentary box one day
One of the hardest jobs I ever tried
Bit easier in the crowd looking at the budget during the day....

Good point Mal.

It is easy for the fans as they know their own team so well, but these guys have to cover different games every week, with new ins / outs, it can't be easy.

Hey, what is happening to me. Two posts in a row, sticking up for the radio boys. That CD defeat has affected me more than I realise.

It is also difficult to be an umpire, but that doesn't stop everyone criticising them! :)

I hope the around the ground coverage was OK today as I had my daughter taking down goals for both sides while I was taking photos to give a decent coverage for those listening to RPH, well done to John Nankerville for ringing so often, it wasn't until his 4th call that scores had changed at one stage!

I'm afraid for those of us that rely on streamed online coverage there was no RPH. However LifeFM did provide good around the grounds updates...thankfully.

Sorry Wedgie, your efforts were in vain. No RPH online today. Haven't read a post by anyone to the contrary so assume it was the same for all of us.
Thanks for the effort though.

Good coverage by LifeFM, plenty of round ups.

Thanks Life FM for the coverage today! The around the grounds updates were sensational. They mentioned at the end of the day that scores from North vs Centrals ( I think) were actually being sent by text messages, forgot the name of the guy sending them, but it was a radio commentator's name. I think this is a sure sign that they are responding to what the public wants and making an effort to meet the demands. Great stuff and thank you!
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

At least both stations are providing coverage for us fans, although its a pity RPH's streaming is a bit up and down. Good on them both for their commitment to SANFL.
