Roy Laird - Where is his future?

Postby Squawk » Tue May 29, 2007 1:28 am

Roy has been a very successful coach at Centrals and arrived as a virtual unknown outside the dogs sanctum.

Would he personally be looking at a coaching role of some sort in the AFL, or would AFL clubs be looking at him as a potential recruit?

I don't know anything about his personal circumstances (eg family, where he grew up or whatever other ties he may have past, present or future).

Alternatively, is he simply happy at the dogs and the success he is having there?

No aspirations to join the circus as far as I am aware, however has a very successful real estate career. To date this has not caused problems for him.

Local boy, has no ties anywhere else.

Once he finishes teaching the next coach, he will pass on the reigns - I believe this to be a year or two away at least.
