Power average home crowds
2013 27,728
2012 19,911
2011 21,676
2010 23,044
2009 24,349
2008 23,842
2007 29,944
2006 27,257
2005 32,911
2004 35,182
2003 32,371
2002 30,411
2001 30,775
2000 26,377
1999 31,269
1998 31,799
1997 35,829

Must say Im surprised at the numbers Port Power averaged in the early days with 2006 being the start of the large decline.

Those attendance figures make s one think why all that money is being spent on Adelaide Oval, it was already big enough before the building started. The only thing that will raise crowds is if the two local franchises see some success.

I cant see how an increase of 10% and 5% followed by a drop of 3% is a gradual decline.

It isn't. It is a net increase of 1.4% over the three years. Clearly percentages aren't beeny's strong point - but then a few posters here have known this for a while

Makes me wonder why money was ever spent on Football Park. What need did Port Power have of more seats, except as a frame over which to stretch its sponsor's advertising?
