Excellent graphic Wedgie! It'd be nice to get that printed up if there was some radio coverage. Looking forward to this match. Whereas the Port match was an absolute upset and probably shouldn't be considered as having a bearing on reality, I'd rank this as our greatest hurdle that we've had a chance of clearing to date. In other words I rank the Panthers above Glenelg and West, but below Port, who we beat in the twilight zone so it doesn't really count. The Eagles, North and Norwood are all out of realistic striking distance for us about now IMO. We beat South and it could equate into another rung up the ladder come the end of the year.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Really? I would have thought most Sturt fans would at least back themselves finishing higher than Norwood? Certainly not saying you are out of realistic striking distance. Especially considering if you beat South tomorrow you'll be clear in 2nd on the ladder.

PS. The SANFL website puts those teams graphics up each week if you were looking to print them before a game.

Yeah the SANFL has them on their website each week. Agree with Aerie though... surely Sturt would be confident they can finish above Norwood this year...

It has been a deceptive draw. We've had three games against the current bottom two sides,, somehow pulled a rabbit out of the hat against Port and all our victories have been by narrow margins. And looking at Port's form, that victory is looking less and less freakish. Norwood on the other hand played against the toughest Port line up they've had this year, headed by Tredrea, but when the Legs met Sturt at Unley they dished out our biggest drubbing to date.
Sturt need to perform at a higher level to be considered a chance to finish above Norwood at this stage, and South tomorrow is going to be a huge challenge.

P.S I forgot to mention thanks for the tip about the team graphics, and also, I meant striking distance as in over 4 quarters of footy.

There were some commentators sitting behind me in the stand, was rph or life???? Definately calling the game in some capacity and were wearing their head gear etc
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.
