Roy's a Centrals man and should he leave there would be 3 reasons. 1 work commitments too great to juggle with footy coaching. 2 AFL calls and he can't resist. 3 He gets sick of coaching and just leaves. In all 3 options going to another SANFL club won't happen. You'll have to wait until Central get rid of him and he wants to keep coaching to have a chance, and that will be, at the absolute earliest if the dogs crash and burn this season and the next 2 in 2010.
Anythings possible

Impossible. The only way Laird would coach another SANFL side when his time runs out at Elizabeth (if it ever will?) would be that they offered him a record amount of money and even then you would think that he has nothing to prove so why do it? I understand he has a very busy schedule with his job and family added to his coaching commitments so coaching another club and having to travel alot further than he currently does would put even more pressure on him.
When he does eventually leave Centrals, and no doubt on his terms, he could quite possibly have in terms of win ratios and flags the best coaching record of all time given the way Centrals have repeatedly stayed as the main contender over such a long period of time and it is hard to see that changing in the next 4 or 5 years.
