Forums I rate as really good SANFL fans forums:
Centrals new forum (cdfc.info)- well done Campbell and co
snoutslouts.org
(I started a bays forum once but it failed but that was before the tsunami of the snouts started)
http://www.rocketrooster.com (the doyen in my opinion but had a jump on the others)
Norwoods forum
doubleblue.org
Ports is only a hybrid of their AFL side and doesn't get a lot of meaningful talk but does have a few diehards.
Souths forum was doing pretty well at one stage considering the amount of fans they have when it was attached to the official site, once it got taken off the official site it was always on a downhill slide due to not having a unique url.
Eagles is ordinary, once again, professional URL makes a big diff and if they got one attached to their official site it may help (eaglesarecool, wtf?)
West have never had one but hopefully the new one will take off as there's a lot of passion in that club
Fan forums are extremely important IMHO, so much has been achieved by the successful ones I stated on top (except for CDFC as its just started but I have no doubt it will have the same impact the others do).
Norths, Norwoods and Sturts have been extremely big parts of their clubs in recent years, snouts isn't far behind them.
Fan forums are great at galvinizing fans, raising monies for club, organising social functions, and making lifelong friends.
Norwood and Glenelg clubs seem pretty aware of this fact, North to a lesser degree, I've spent less time on the Sturt forum but that's seemed to have had a big impact in functions, delivering of info, events, sponsorship, etc too.
Its all good, all fans of all clubs should work hard to ensure their respective forums work. I can't stress that more highly with what I've seen firsthand the North forum create.
