Agreed, I think Port's sport has been overrated all year so far, lets face it, they've played a heap of games at home and they've lost to Norwood, Sturt and even Glenelg away from home.
North have only lost to Central all year and didn't pass Port on the ladder till 4.45pm today despite being a 15 goal better side.

The first part of the sentence pretty much was. The point is, it's not funny the second time (it never was anyway)

I suspected with Port having so many home games and losing to Norwood, Sturt and Glenelg away that they weren't up to standard and that was shown today.
Is it just a matter of Centrals, North and the Eagles with the rest being a waste of space like last year?

Totally agreed wedgie. With North demoralising Port yesterday one could say the pies are on a slide, the Eagles are on the improve but it certainly does look as though the top 3 are here to stay. I'd be very interested in how we perform when we get a crack at the Roosters and the Dogs a 2nd time around. That will speak volumes for the Eagles chances in 2007.

The SANFL draw this year what a joke. As of the end of round 9 we will have 3 clubs: Glenelg, North and Eagles all having had 2 byes yet Port don't have bye 1 until round 10. That put into context with the fact that each team hasn't yet played each other once yet it does make it very hard to judge the true ladder standings. It is however fair to say the Central is a country mile in front of the rest of the comp, with North, Eagles being the best of the rest. Let's hope the other 6 sides become more competetive or this comp could become real emabarrasing before much longer.

It will be a test of the Leggies resolve. I'm hoping for a competitive game but an Eagles win.

Strewth! Fair Go Lads! Didn't Westies beat the Eagles? Didn't South draw with North? Weren't there numerous upsets all last year? I think it is a bit too soon to be pulling out the embarrassing tag just yet. The Eagles have had great form recently, and they are the reigning premiers, but I think you are being pretentious to declare that your side is so great that it is "embarrassing"! Centrals possibly have the right to claim this boast, but only they alone. I can't imagine the other two sides being so far ahead of the rest as to start pulling out the make-up and walking around with their noses in the air.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Norwood competitive enough for you today?

Well done to the Legs this week, they made my Eagles look 2nd rate and more like an Amateur side than a League outfit. Totally outclassed us all day and thoroughly deserved victory. Geeeez that makes it 4 in a row now. They are definately looking like a top 5 side.
