Adelaide Oval?

ANyone know the latest on Adelaide Oval? I notice its under 3 weeks until Glenelg and Sturt are scheduled to play there on 30/6/07....will it be ready to go?

lets just change it to the bay, so they can get the adelaide oval right for the cricket season
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Last I heard was the proposed works was completed ahead of schedule and would be fine for footy.


Bayman, that bog in the middle of the bay needs some serious work :wink:

the bays only 2 wins have been with a muddy cricket pitch in the middle :lol:

Yeah apparently the works are progressing well...Adelaide Oval will also have a boggy centre square to help the Bays out :D :D

Adelaide Oval looks fine to me as I go past on a regular basis.

Word on the street says the cups of beer are still too small, the beer's still warm and over priced and flat, the foods still cold and stale.
Sounds like it wont be ready for years.

unconfirmed rumor is that the ground is not ready and glenelg v sturt is to be transfered to unley :evil: that sucks if that is the case

Move it to Unley?? Bugger off. What more does Sturt expect handed to them on a platter. I can hear the Unley locals wingeing now...."prudence, theres some people of ill-repute walking on our street towards the footyball or whatever they call it. Thebarton would be a better option for a neutral venue IMO.
