North no hope and undeserving! Sturt have shown despite some big odds pre-season how a team plays for their coach, for each other and with real passion. Other than the fact they may win a flag to put them ahead of the chooks I hope Sturt goes all the way this year.
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

Good to see Penfold and Kelly back in the team, only mentioned that I was surprised they both hadn't had another run last week to a mate. Bartlett out will hurt us though as will Anderson and Clinch for North. If our forward line fires we will win.

I guess Chris Pyne could have a few of those lazy, good-for-nothing work for the dole people wander around and pick up all the dog shit the locals are too posh to deal with :(

It's a shit-hole and even the old Gaza Oval, which used to be a mire in winter, is in better nick in A2 Amateurs these days.

What can you take out of the game?
Coad and Duldig kicked 11 goals between them.

North have no one in their forward lines capable if kicking 5 goals in a game.
North's back-line is woefully inadequate with Miles the only standout and he seems to be out of sorts lately. No disrespect to Duldig but he is hardly tall or even quick these days but still managed 5 goals.

Who are North's players playing for? They don't seem to be playing for the coach and a lot would question if they are paying for the guernsey!
From Grand Finalists to finishing 8th in one season is very disappointing.
The fact that they weren't able to retain 3 or 4 key players from last year might say something about the clubs priorities, whilst their replacements just haven't hit the mark.
I put the blame squarely at the door of the coach but as others have righty pointed out, it could be more of a culture issue. 10 years ago the club nearly went out of existence such was its financial plight. 10 years on it has become, possibly, the wealthiest and most profitable club in the SANFL. Maybe remaining so has taken over as the main priority to the detriment of the football and winning a premiership, which are the essence of the club and it's fans.
To some extent you can't blame the board for never wanting to go back to those dark days of the early noughties, and this might explain their decision to opt for the current coach and the recruits that followed, but if the clubs number one priority isn't winning a flag then some might ask what is the point of the club.

In my opinion the current coach clearly isn't up to the job. I don't doubt he is doing his best, but his best isn't good enough and the team are looking more disjointed and less interested with every game. The Board need to resolve this problem at the end of the year and be prepared to spend some money on a coach who will instil some discipline into the squad and find recruits that have some desire to be at the top of the pile.

North are team culture is toxic at the moment. It's starting to creep in with the reserves now. You can tell things are not all well with certain people not passin to eachother. I know there are players are not happy with selections especially last week. How can someone play well consultently each week and not get a look in the ones.
