Do you mean the times that messages are posted...cos my comouter shows them in the local Adelaide time i.e. currently 7:01pm

Make sure that the time under profile is Adelaide time.

My settings were all good, but for a period today the stamps were showing as GMT (oh, and thanks but I KNOW what that stands for).

Seems to have fixed itself now though, so play on.
