EAGLES’ NICK SALTER WINS ROUND 14 COCA-COLA STAR SEARCH AWARD NOMINATION
Nick Salter from the Woodville-West Torrens Football Club has been named the Round fourteen Coca-Cola Star Search Award nominee.
Playing up forward, 19 year old Salter kicked five goals two for the Eagles in their win over West Adelaide at Thebarton on Saturday. Collecting 17 possessions including 13 kicks, four handballs and four marks, Nick was named among the Eagles’ best.
Recruited from the South Clare Football Club, Nick progressed through the Eagles’ underage and reserves teams, before making his League debut in round 16 last year. Nick has gone on to play 10 League matches this season and has proven versatile playing at both ends of the ground.
Nick represented South Australia at Under 18 level in 2004 and 2005 and was a member of the 2007 Under 20 squad.
Salter is the Eagles’ second Coca-Cola Star Search Award nominee this season following midfielder Jake
Pavlich in Round 12.
