I am a crows fan (after being a centrals fan though) and like having him around. Always puts in 100% for the team, doesn't get run off or outmarked often. Not every team can have Jonathan Brown, and Perrie is far from the worst key forward in the comp. Just needs to avoid injuring himself!

From the SANFL perspective, I think having a KPP AFL listed player jumping in and out really affects the balance in a bad way. Also having an AFL listed midfielder as one of your keys does a similar thing. I think the best solution is to put them in a role that allows them to do their own thing without affecting the team balance. Assign them a free running job, put them on a flank or pocket or even in the goal square if you don't alreay have someone doing that. For mine, a big problem North and the Eagles have had is AFL KPP or midfielders coming in and out. Bock, McGregor, Biglands, White, Perrie, Maric, Watts and I'm sure many others all seemed to be in and out of their teams after being important cogs in SANFL teams as key players. To me, these guys appeared (albeit from a rather distant vantage point) to come back in and distupt the fluency and possibly the confidence of their teams.

Conversely, the dogs have been fortunate (or perhaps wise?) in not appearing to use blokes going in and out throughout the season in key roles. Dew, Symes and Guerra are probably the most prolific guys we've had changing from AFL to SANFL regularly, yet none have been used as vital parts of the team, just very good add ons to play on the flank or run free. IMHO this is the best way to have players playing who are coming in and out. I guess we've also been fortunate that no player has come through who demands a key role either. I guess if, and when, this does become an issue we may have a good case study to see if it really does have much effect.

We will. Will look nice is a forward pocket, between Havelberg and Callinan and behind Lawry.

Agree 100% on all points Graham. To me the North line up didn't look balanced when it was announced and today we paid the price.

Oh and we were cr4p too. But how much of what you have said affected us. The balance of the squad, the AvFL in's and the mental attitude of the rest ???

Exaclty right. You just never know if some little thing might make a difference. One player gives the rest a little bit of confidence and a team can be 10 goals better. Another player creates a little confusion and the rest are a little lost, and a team could be 10 goals worse. All we can do is speculate and hope the powers that be do their utmost to try to get it on the better side of the equation as often as possible.
