CHAMBERS V SOUTH summary and next week + 2007 +....

CHAMBERS 9-4
SOUTH ADEL 8-7

Brant Chambers once again dominates a SANFL football game.
The best full forward in the state narrowly defeated South Adelaide.

The superstar full forward now has 69 goals for the season.
Will he get the 100 before the finals ?
I really hope he does as the halycon days of 100 goal forwards
is non virtual reality in recent times.
Perhaps 100 goals + a Mag Medal ????

What will happen next week ?
North Adelaide will have to use the same tactics as last time
They will put 2-3 players on him to quell the great mans influence.
Chambo still managed 3 goals against the odds

Other results this weekend

HAVELBERG 5-5
WEST ADEL 6-8

HARGREAVES 7-3
NORTH ADEL 9-11

Ahh its great to see full forwards and not fool forwards dominating
in the SANFL in round 15, its exciting and inspires crowds

As for my man Chambo MALS predictions and total goals

NA 3 =72
WA7 =79
EG 4 =83
PA 5 =88
CD 3 =91
GL 6 =97

That would leave him on 97 with the last game against North Adelaide
North will have to put
not 2
not 3
but 4 players on him

just for the record at the 22 minute mark of the last quater Chambo
will line up for the 100

NA 3 = 100

Good work Mal... time will tell. But it would be fantastic if he can crack the ton.

But Chambo will not win the medal - he is flat out just getting a free kick at the moment, never mind getting magarey votes. He probably doesn't help himself by being an angry man on the footy field...

Any chance the Crows would use a final draft pick on him?

I know he is 27, but this years draft is touted as being down on talent by comparison to recent seasons ... We all know the Crows woes up forward so I wonder if they would consider punting with a pick in the 70's (or thereabouts)?

Like Troy Wilson for WC five years ago....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Very similar .. Whilst it might have been short lived, it served a purpose for the Weagles who got at least one decent season from him.

or Adam Richardson?

or Gill?

mind you Aaron Edwards from the Roos has shown a bit this season after kicking 100 in the VFL last year and Chambers is a very similar type...

At worst, if a pick 78 (for example) is a bust and shown the door after a year really how much has a club lost?

I'd think it's something they would have to consider, obviously depending on what other talent is available to them at the time.
