No suprise on this one. I was actually standing with the Port tribunal advocate on Sunday when the incident occured. He asked me if thought there was any chance that either Alleway wasn't over the footy, or that Hargs had come from side on or behind.

No chance, I told him.

No malice in the contact. A bit clumsy and to be honest if Alleway had any skill he would have picked the ball up cleanly and been upright when Hargs made contact.

But no option for the tribunal under the current interpretation.

Will be tough against Centrals without him...

Agreed fully fatal, under the new rule it was a no brainer but definately no animosity on Hargs behalf, just clumsy/reckless. At least 3 players have gone for similar, Wintle got done for 1 game with a good record earlier in the year and his was a bit more reckless mind you Sporn got 1 or 2 games and his was less reckless so about what I expected.

Yes, we were taking it in turns peering around the trunk. It was my turn so Ken had to ask me what I had seen...

Good one Rip Van winkle, he was named in North's League side when the team was posted at 5.00 p.m. last night - some 6 hours before you posted as well as Wedgie adding the team list to the Nth/Sturt thread!

Weatherley got off, he is playing league. Hargs probably deserved.

I just consulted my Magic 8 ball and it says no.

He might take my spot, I had to give up my 2 tickets when I realised my son was playing footy the next day at 8am, with my daughter playing netball at 9am and my daughter having her birthday which includes a trip to the Ice Arena and friends sleeping over.
Im getting old. :(
