If an opposition coach is naive enough to say anything important where anybody might hear it then bad luck. I'd rather have the most thorough coach in the comp than a coach who follows every opposition supporters moral guidelines!

The AFL is a huge carrot for these guys - they would be watching MacGowan with interest I reckon.

Yes, I 'd suggest he might be well ahead of a certain bald "clown" from Prospect...

Especially after yesterday.

Can anyone from Central confirm this?

I was under the impression he already does flog real estate, his boss is Tony Casserly who is very supportive of Roy.

Correct, but allegedly he's off to do it full time...

I can't imagine that coaching Centrals would be all that hard to be honest. Sort of like drought resistant plants - they'd pretty much look after themselves...

Doubtful. Tony Casserleys sons are runner/assistants at the club. If Roy goes their jobs arent guaranteed.

Tony will look after Roy.

Actually, jokes aside, a mate of his (whom I knew through past employment) reckoned he's a real fitness nut - one of these blokes that gets up before birds fart to work out.

Yep, still into that gig (or at least that's what the ad suggests.) I remember seeing Roy at one or two inspections in my house hunting days a number of years back - couldn't say whether he's had a break since then.

Well, a few posters may identify a few species out here, perhaps a matching pair of cactii?

In any case we'd still need someone to maintain the garden, ie, keeping out the weeds, etc. The coaching staff have proved themselves worthy landscapers in recent years - well worth hanging onto 8) .

...........Now, my turn for a quick (not strictly topic related) sook.......

Hey Eddie he normally sits up the back row by me in the grand stand .

Hi Mickyj, yep I know where he sits, and have no probs with that. I DO have a problem however, after he got busted loitering around the back of the main grandstand near the toilet entrance, trying to listen in to Ron's prematch address through the windows on one occaision.

Keep an eye on him.

Busted by whom?

Perhaps a web thread is not the most appropriate forum for airing allegations of loitering and wall crawling - particularly around toilet blocks - irrespective of the circumstance. This is, after all, a thread regarding an individual's professional future.

As for learning anything from Ron Fuller.....well.....    .....pfffft! 125 ways to lose a Grand Final, perhaps?

This is what Roy actually said: ``You need to be very unique to be involved at a club for 10 years and maintain that hunger.
``I'm loving it now, but I don't see it as long term, another year or so.''

And the idea that he hangs around to pick up tips from Ron Fuller is laughable. He has coached for 4 years and the Dogs have made the GF every year winning 3 out of 4. Whatever he picked up from Ron its a pity that Ron didn't use it himeslf
