Yucky poo.

Centrals second quarter was really impressive and their workrate to control the speed of the game when kicking into the wind in the 1st and 3rd quarters was clever football.

We've had plenty of horrible days at Elizabeth over the years and this was yet another.

Hopefully Dugga can get the boys firing soon. Its still a very good list.

But today...yucky poo.

Had lots to say but just too disappointed to think rationally. Is this really a team with 14 premiership players?

Sadly, yesterday confirmed for me what a lot of front running, backslapping "supporters" the NFC have. :(

Would need a major turnaround to make finals let alone win a flag.
Realistically think only 3 sides can win it at this stage

Which 3 sides?

South, Crows and Eagles.

Picking Adelaide Reserves is lottery and their chances will be determined by their AFL side's injuries.
South look like the real deal, and I wouldn't discount Sturt with a chance.

Ridiculous time for footy, low crowd again despite it being the Novita charity game. Centrals jumper looked like the Crows away strip - its for a good cause and I will put in a bid for one but cant you keep it mainly royal blue please.

Couldn't get there until just before half time and the Dogs had already done the damage. 3rd quarter had good intensity but conditions deteriorated with a strong breeze favouring the south but also diagonally eastwards - made for difficult scoring. Centrals kicking into the wind actually made the best of conditions and had the better forward set up. Hill is really working hard and has great hands. He looks fit and has demonstrated a commitment to the club - development of character. Well done Dallas and coaching staff.

Norwood seemed to be concentrating on the defensive crush with the quick kick over the top that they have used successfully against us since Bassett. Fortunately Centrals were able to counter and this is the first season that we really cracked defending that tactic successfully. Gut running, better skills, backing themselves and a little more flair to the point where we started to lairise, particularly in the last. Also the first game I can remember against Norwood since Buckets where we won the ruck. Darcy Fort has been a fantastic find and had the better of the duels.

Last quarter was not pretty from either side, Centrals wasteful and getting a bit ahead of themselves, and Norwood were plain awful. I will give them the benefit of the doubt not having a settled side and the difficult conditions, but warning signs would be going off at the Parade. Fantastic. :D

Geez - would that be the lowest ever crowd against Norwood at Elizabeth. I know we had a low crowd on a Friday night at the Parade 2 seasons ago - the game which would be Dallas Hills last until this season, but that was a shocking night weather wise.

Quite possibly the lowest. The game to my mind was the round 2 2014 game, played at the same time, Saturday 12:10. That game got 1,959. The game at Norwood referred to got 1,943.
No Surrender!
