Former South and Port Adelaide player and coach David Baker has passed away suddenly. I do not have any other details.

Is that the big lumbering ruckman who played for Port in the 80's?
He'd only be early 50's if so.

Yes it is.

He wore number 29 (I think) for us, not sure about Port and would not have played in too many winning games for us (a big change from Port!).

Only heard about this, this morning. Am hoping the details of his passing that I was given, are incorrect.

He played during a golden era of SANFL footy, condolences to those at the PAFC.
