Postby Jimmy » Thu Aug 23, 2007 12:05 am

Thought I'd bring to attention a new look SFC website thats been up for about 2-3 weeks now.

http://www.sturtfc.com.au

Its a much improved site with better navigation and more info. Lets just hope its stay updated regularly.

Some great contributions by players, management and fans.

well done :)

Sounds like there is a pattern emerging Jimmy!

How does the online shopping thing work? You click on it and get taken to an external site - does Sturt get a %age of purchases made through clicking through via the sturtfc link?

It would seem to be the case. Centrals have been doing it for a while now.

Does this herald a new era at the club? Or at least a renaissance?

I'd say it's the reverse. The cost of setting up and maintaining and oline shop *can* be large - and places like the site you're sent to can help in that they have the framework setup already, including the payment gateway. Sturt would probably input all their stock and prices etc, and the other site takes care of the rest. I would imagine the other site gets a percentage of profits.

Just logged on to the new look site. Hats off to those involved. A clean look which makes navigation far easier.

You'd be surprised as to the regular poster on here that is a part of the company that canvassed the clubs to get the online shopping working, some people on here would spew if they knew who it was (and no its not me).
Ironic that the club that he barracks for turned him down where others took him on but I do wish him the best with his venture.
I hope he makes a million out of Central, Sturt and Eagles fans. :D
