Can't have the games Friday night because that clashes with the Crows fans who are travelling to Melbourne for the Crows game. Could play the games Thursday night, but that clashes with fans wanting to go to Power and Crows training sessions. Maybe the games could be played at 1pm Wednesday.

Crowds without any Crows supporters, sounds perfect to me.

Crows playing Sat arvo next week, Power play next Friday night

Suggest switching all SANFL games to Sunday if they want anyone other than die-hards to turn up

Or at least switch the North v Sturt game
In between signatures .....

Perhaps they could try the North vs Sturt game on a Saturday night at Adelaide Oval? Eagles vs Glenelg on Saturday afternoon (because of ABC game) and the other two dead rubbers on a Sunday.

Thing is, if the SANFL weren't planning on switching the date of the games in order not to clash with the Crows, why the HECK did they bother with the 'dates TBC' all year?

Surely the SANFL, knows that there are only two radio stations to broadcast, so that every game could be on radio? What you said would ensure all would be on the radio.

If Crowds are a worry, how about instead of playing at four venues, play two double headers at the Parade and Thebarton? Life and RPH should manage to give two games in a row without to many problems.

Too radical for that to happen.

I can't guarantee this is correct, but an ABC employee told me after the game at Glenelg that the ABC will telecast the Glenelg vs Eagles game on whatever day the SANFL decides it will be on (Sat or Sun). The logical thing is to obviously play it on Sunday...

That would be nice. But to be fair, the Sturt vs North match should also be on that day. However, again, I repeat that one day's break should mean no difference - it's in the players heads.

From a Sturt point of view it would be a disaster if the game was shifted to Friday night - at least playing Sunday would give players like Nelson, Gum, Feast and perhaps even Thomson a better chance of playing and crushing some Cock.
"A no vote from any club means there is some sort of risk involved in our entry into the competition not working," Steven Trigg.
